anniej,you know everyone saw the picture of McCann and Brand on the district website. But I doubt that McCann knew what Alliant was about. I'm told that Brand didn't disclose all the bad info that has come forward from Alliant's own website and Mr. Peraza. McCann still disgusts me, but he has not been around since the car accident. Well it looks like WTFED, has got the ball rolling. I just received a call from a teacher complaining that the Special Ed. Students and the ELL students are in the same English classes at some of the high schools. They call the program Sheltered English Instruction. This is no way to treat students that do not speak Eng.or the Special Ed.students. What kind of tactics is this. I wonder if it's even legal? oneoftheteachers,we know of five principals and numerous counselors that have been forced to recruit for Alliant University. Guess who is heading the indentured servants? Of course No other than Maria C, under Fast Eddy's direction. Yes, on school time as well. (Gift of Public Funds) The South Bay Guidance Ctr using Grant monies to recruit students by using paid tutors inappropriately. Well it doesn't get much better does it? Now the big problem seems to be will the National City Planning folks and the City Council protect their constituents or will they surrender to the National City Chamber and give in to Brand. Interesting that the leader of the chamber is on Brands Advisory Council. Is that why she wants this to go through? Does she really believe that this university will bring income to National City? Even Pearl knows better and was a no on Alliant! I guess we will see who is who in this political intrigue. oskidoll, you have read the tea leaves correctly. I remember the concurrent enrollment students that took advantage of the Adult School trades programs like welding,home construction,landscaping, metal shop and many other similar trade programs. Well, I bet fast Eddy is super busy this morning. I bet he has The mayor Ron Morrison on speed dial. Hopefully the mayor and City Council will thoroughly vet the Alliant Program and not participate in the rip off of their community. Maybe they will google Alliant University and get a better picture off the students complaints and actions taken against Alliant. What can be done about the FERPA Violations? Probably nothing since the district is able to lie about PRA information. Does anyone believe that the board will use this info to get rid of Eddy this month at his evaluation? After car crash, Sweetwater trustee McCann out of ICU
Glad your vacation is over Susan. No one says it as clear and succinct as you do. Maybe next vacation time you should prepare a few articles before you go away. We've become dependent on you. I is too bad that the IT employee was not mentioned in the districts website as well as McCann or by the press.
