These are the monsters, Mayor Cox
The Chula Vista City Plan, is like much "governance" in and around Chula Vista, "a travesty of a mockery of a sham of a mockery of a travesty of two mockeries of a sham" to quote a line from *Bananas*. Or we could all start singing "Promises, Promises". Because there have been so many broken ones. Remember that we were supposed to get an aquatics complex around 2000? Until the city plan was changed. I have often wondered if all the funding for the aquatics complex was applied to the police station, by way of the ubiquitous polished stone. Chula Vista really does put the sham in shame...from the secondary school district that has layers of corruption not yet plumbed, despite years of depositions and pleas...to the city government, which has apparently sold completely out to developers. Revolting, yes. Can we sign up for the revolt?— September 19, 2014 3:26 p.m.
My Acting Bucket List: Rosina Reynolds
As long as we are talking about ideal situations, it would be great to see Ms. Reynolds and Maggie Smith working together. Maybe a reworking of "Sleuth"? Very much enjoyed the reading of "A Song at Twilight" in which Ms. Reynolds played Carlotta, and she has also done a great job directing "Fallen Angels".— September 18, 2014 11:33 a.m.

Stinks like sewage, it's likely sewage
Bureaucracy that seems to deliberately tie things up, solving exactly nothing. Would it require a permit to remove all the dumped tires and other items? A pathetically convoluted situation.— September 18, 2014 11:18 a.m.
Calpers to dump hedge funds
I am tempted to make a prediction: fees will skyrocket for SD County, and then the market will bleed out. Then people will complain.— September 16, 2014 11:09 p.m.
