The garbage man challenged
I am rather curious: David Malcolm's name pops up here and there, but he doesn't ever seem to make public statements. He apparently is involved in civic and community affairs, but the general public does not know his opinions, his ideas or his thoughts for the future. Why is this?— February 20, 2015 12:28 p.m.
Startled trigger finger to blame
Cold.— February 19, 2015 2:23 p.m.
Wake the f*** up. We’re in a drought.
I believe all the cities, or incorporated areas are still watering the parks and public spaces. It would be interesting to know at what point those in charge determine it is time to cut back and/or stop.— February 19, 2015 2:08 p.m.
Refi on multimillion-dollar debt? Good idea
Refreshingly intelligent and open. Good ideas. Just what San Ysidro needs--and all the school districts, for that matter. Keep going, things will get better!— February 18, 2015 6:13 p.m.
Pulling for Wes
It certainly was inventive and very funny!— February 18, 2015 8:51 a.m.
The garbage man challenged
I guess Chula Vista just likes keeping things in the family. And if you are not in the family, you will not know what is going on. Those pesky members of the public!! Sticking their noses in where they are not wanted!— February 17, 2015 8 a.m.
Land sakes, Sweetwater, get it together
I really hope you are right. It does seem so very odd that mess after mess keeps happening, and there appear to be no consequences. Exactly the opposite we try to teach our children. Let's hope these young people are not learning from the wrong sources. We're all in big trouble if all the Sweetwater graduates want to emulate Ed Brand and Tom Calhoun. I almost think this dynamic duo should be charged with thousands of instances of "contributing to the delinquency of a minor". Because they have really given the wrong idea to many, many young people. Yes, we hope our young people are better than the examples given by Sweetwater's own Ed Brand, Tom Calhoun, Dianne Russo and all the other bottom feeders and shadow dwellers taking what they do not deserve.— February 13, 2015 3:44 p.m.
Land sakes, Sweetwater, get it together
Well said. I guess these staff members have no shame--and have decided that their loyalties exist in a place far from the taxpayers, students, teachers and parents of Sweetwater. This should be grounds for dismissal.— February 13, 2015 1:32 p.m.
Land sakes, Sweetwater, get it together
So this meeting was made without the Board of Trustees being aware? Just how did that happen? I am hoping that steps have been taken so that no such situation occurs again. Guess Mr. Calhoun thinks he is the Big Kahuna now. Time to make some big changes.— February 13, 2015 9:07 a.m.
Land sakes, Sweetwater, get it together
So I wonder how much has been paid to them already. Would the board have approved any of this?— February 11, 2015 4:32 p.m.
