Fallbook Hospital spanked by court
shirleyberan But more importantly than all of that, Fallbrook also has a Pedro's Tacos. I haven't been there in at least a couple of years, but I have been eating at Pedro's in San Clemente for over 20 yrs. Great fish tacos and the carne asada is pretty damn goo as well. There is one in O'side as well, you should give them a try.— May 19, 2015 2:59 p.m.

That should have been "not directed to you"— May 19, 2015 9:32 a.m.
More bikeways or more highways?
dwbat I have some friends who used to live up in Burlingame. Their apartment was above retail space right off Burlingame Ave, 2 blocks from the train station. He took the train into the city and a street car to about half a block from his office. She worked literally in the next block the other way. Whenever we went to visit, the only time we used the car was to go to the grocery store, a ball game or if we were going to be in the city after the last train left. Even to and from the airport was only a $5 cab ride. Everything else we wanted to do was within walking distance or at the very most, bicycle distance. It was great.— May 18, 2015 10:59 p.m.

don bauder my comment was directed to you, and wasn't about you. I was relating my interpretation of ken leighton's comment to shirleyberan— May 18, 2015 10:42 p.m.

don bauder, You just repeated what I said above. You said: "(Menifee is in the LA metro area.) " Los Angeles metropolitan area, also known as the Los Angeles-Long Beach-Anaheim, CA Metropolitan Statistical Area consists of only Los Angeles and Orange counties and their combined 9,819,000 population. Menifee is NOT located there. That wider L.A. metropolitan statistical area, as you call it, also referred to as the Greater Los Angeles Area, Is also known as the Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA Combined Statistical Area along with Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura counties and their combined 18,238,998 population. That is where Menifee is located. The smaller Los Angeles metropolitan area and the larger Greater Los Angeles Area area, are recognized by the Census Bureau as two different things— May 18, 2015 10:33 p.m.

Personally, I found nothing wrong with ken leighton's comment. Perhaps ken just expects that someone of don bauder's prolificacy would at least be accurate in what he writes and correct with his information.— May 18, 2015 9:27 p.m.

don bauder I'm not going to argue with you. I've driven past Menifee literally hundreds of times and know exactly where it is. Why don't you try looking at a map. Actually, Menifee is not in the LA metro area. The LA Metro area consists of Los Angeles and Orange counties. Menifee is in Riverside county, which along with San Bernardino, Ventura, Orange and Los Angeles counties makes up the Greater Los Angeles area. And yes, they are indeed 2 completely separate and different things. BTW, I know of absolutely no one who considers Riverside county to be between San Diego and Los Angeles.— May 18, 2015 9:18 p.m.

shirleyberan, ken leighton wrote a very informative article on the closing of Fallbrook Hospital probably 6 months ago. Even I knew don bauder's article had several errors in it. Draw a line, speak constructively or you sound like ignorant.— May 18, 2015 6:24 p.m.

don bauder, yeah, Menifee is not really between Los Angeles and San Diego, unless you drive from Los Angeles to San Diego via Riverside. Menifee is off the 215, about halfway between Moreno Valley and that ghost town from the civilized world, Temecula.— May 18, 2015 6:17 p.m.
