Today a thought occurred to me. When NOT if the majority of the board is gone what happens then? Well,,,,,,,, First on the agenda will be letting Brand go. A reorganization in the district office, bye bye several consultants and a few of the henchmen (women). Then the dismantling of all of Brands questionable projects. The refocusing of our monies and efforts back into the education of our students, ALL OF OUR STUDENTS!!! Including ROP and Adult ED. Brand and others will leave in disgrace. They will be remembered for their greed and self serving votes. They will become the butt of every alleged corruption joke. Wonder if there is special recognition for that? Where are the decision makers, the policy makers? Too busy setting up Charter Schools or their own CIF Divisions. Does Brand care about the needs of the students he oversees, his actions say NO. Oh he will tell you it is "all about the kids", but the truth of the matter is obvious "it is all about the money". The board, where is the board, they are the ones charged by the voters, with the exception of Bertha Lopez, they are MIA. They have abandoned their positions and turned over the keys to the district to Brand. Our Adult Ed, ROP students, their educators - flailing in the wind. They are not important to Brand, they do nothing to boost his ultra fanatical ego. He wants to see his name somewhere - his legacy and all that you know. Well how about a mill carton, that is where I would like to see his name and picture. No respect meant to the truly lost. You want to see change, start packing those board meetings, start raising a bit of hell over these moronic decisions of Brands, that is what the board is paying him the big bucks for, not educational leadership but rather silence. THEY WANT ALL OF US SILENCED!!!!!!!!! The public attending board meetings, makes them uncomfortable, the public speaking at those board meetings - almost as bad as a search warrant being handed to them.— April 27, 2013 2:21 p.m.

Visduh: YES,the FBI is the key. Time is needed to prepare, case in point Randy "DUKE" - I was comforted this week when advised just how long that case took. So many layers of the onion being peeled back, other irregularities that are not, as yet known. Allegations of Department personnel providing services outside of their paid responsibilities, even outside of district business.— April 26, 2013 9 a.m.
Former San Ysidro schools chief Manuel Paul won’t speak
While there is much I could say about Paul, it would be like beating a dead horse. At least Paul has stepped down - for whatever his reasons HE IS GONE!!!!! Continuing to get the paycheck, but outta here!!!!! Perhaps, he and "the gandara" can set up another school district in prison,wonder which one will get the superintendents job at one of the states big pens, like Calipatria. Rather than homes and fine wines they can barter for such things as extra mashed potatoes. Am I correct that Hernandez, stepped down as well? NOW, if we could only get Brand to do the will of the people, LEAVE! The Grand Jury testimonies will reveal much to the inquiring minds, expose the truth regarding the board members (whether indicted or not) - and super Brand. Let us not forget he testified as well, can't wait to read what he said about the board members. Surely he testified to the truth, whole truth and nothing but the truth ---- we all shall see soon.— April 25, 2013 12:31 p.m.

All who have read my posts over the past few (3) years know that I support educators. Having said that I must ask the question - why are the majority of our educators only showing up when it affects them personally I.e. contract negotiations? The antagonists consist of two retired teachers, yet their fight for quality education began long before they retired. Why is the community not turning out in force? Waiting for the DA's office to do what needs to be done - well folks, with each passing month more and more of our financial budgets are being raided. By the time the trials are held or the deals brokered, we will be sitting here broke and broke down. The time is drawing nearer when, once again, WE the community will decide who will sit on the Dias. WE, the voters will decide if we want to be represented by the same old camp, or whether we will back NEW BLOOD. My vote, NEW BLOOD! We can not allow Brand to allegedly, once again, interject himself into the process. Each of us, needs to do our part in being instrumental in bringing about change. Here is a tidbit for you, the year 'the gandara' left he borrowed 8 million dollars from the teachers retirement benefit plan - he stated it would be repaid the next year. Well, it wasn't, AND we have failed to fund it ever since. SOOOOOOO, currently there is approximately 45 million that is owed to that fund. DO I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION NOW?????? Brand has started a Charter, Brand is trying to form his own division of CIF, Brand is forming a non profit under the pretense of helping our students - what do all of these have in common? A Board of PAID overseers. Are you following me here? Brand leaves SUHSD yet returns to sit on the very boards that he started. What a racket, huh? As the majority of the board made perfectly evident last month, THEY PROTECT BRAND AT ALL COSTS? Do they know all that Brand is doing - NO. Do they care - NO. The ONLY board member to EVER speak out is LOPEZ, listen to board docs, or better yet help pack the board meetings and see for yourself. The Southwest board meeting, the Hilltop board meeting - not that long ago. YOU WANT CHANGE, then show up, AS MANY TIMES AS IT TAKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!— April 22, 2013 7:57 p.m.

dbdriver - if it were not for the public and Lopez, the board meetings would end in record setting time. The entire agendas at all board meetings would be labeled 'consent' - a Brand dream come true. The community needs to be told WHY Ed Brand interfered with the process. Why Ed Brand went against his own word? dbdriver- after all of the nonsense, we are still no closer to an answer to the question: Why did Brand interfere in the selection process. The committees choices were partially respected. What was it about Mr. Clapper that bothered Brand? His integrity, his community service, his endorsement by the National City Chamber of Commerce - what? AND Pearl Quinines, why did she not speak up in favor of one of her communities leaders? She resides in National City - why the silence? National City residents deserve an answer from Quinones. Why wasn't it she who asked the tough questions? Why did Lopez have to stand up for one of the good guys AGAIN!!!!! Ed Brand, we are waiting, for your response .........— April 19, 2013 6:29 p.m.

erupting - tony mccune as in 'the only dog on this lot'? Interesting, very interesting - I believe he has served on other non profits of Brands. Historically Brand has set these up and then 'certain' people have profited. Non profits such as these has tickled the I.R.S.'s fancy.
