Home Depot accused of hatching plot to fire gay employees
All Home Depots have a good video surveillance system, and there is ALWAYS a camera pointed at the trash compactor. It would be very easy to see who threw what away when. I am also a 25-year (now retired) veteran of HD, and undoubtedly the "victim" in this story is leaving out numerous details. I am in no way defending HD, and management may not be totally innocent, but I would bet that some details have been left out of the "victim's" story.— October 21, 2013 5:04 p.m.
Filner pleads guilty to one felony, two misdemeanor counts
But not this particular one.— October 15, 2013 3:51 p.m.
Filner pleads guilty to one felony, two misdemeanor counts
Burwell: This is just the beginning. The civil cases will go on and on, and there may still be more criminal proceedings in the future.— October 15, 2013 2:19 p.m.
Filner pleads guilty to one felony, two misdemeanor counts
Booking on October 20th--sentencing in December. I think it is very doubtful that he does any jail time.— October 15, 2013 11:14 a.m.
Ask Greece about economic gains from Olympics
Don: I think there are still the same number of Charger fans--just fewer of them that want to deal with the expense of going in person to a game. And for those that want a new stadium, wait until you see the ticket prices for that.— October 13, 2013 1:51 p.m.
Coastal Commission approves convention center expansion
Don: If the method of financing is ruled illegal, will the "powers that be" attempt some other end-run around the electorate, or will they choose to spend millions trying to convince the electorate what a "great" thing this would be for the taxpayer? Oops, I mean the region.— October 10, 2013 9:43 p.m.
Coastal Commission approves convention center expansion
Don: Not to mention the also asinine idea of building anything resembling a stadium with a retractable roof in an area such as San Diego. Also, can you be so sure that either the appellate or Supreme Court will decide on the side of reason in this case? Stranger things have happened...— October 10, 2013 6:31 p.m.
Coastal Commission approves convention center expansion
I eagerly await Mark Fabiani's response to this.— October 10, 2013 6:13 p.m.
Ask Greece about economic gains from Olympics
So you want to build a stadium with a roof (retractable or not)? The best way to enjoy San Diego, if you are a sports fan, is to be in an open-air stadium and enjoy the game in the weather (I realize that eliminates the city from any "Final Four" hostings. Too bad.). Oh, and please give us your financing plan as to how it will be paid for. I'm curious as to how many hundreds of millions of dollars you feel the city should contribute to this project.— October 9, 2013 2:38 p.m.
San Diego overlords and unions — who can stop them?
Don: True, but I don't think this rule will be one that is changed, IMO.— October 8, 2013 8:23 a.m.
