Feel sorry for Donald Sterling?
Don: That original reply of mine was directed at Visduh. Just a misdirected response, I guess.— May 2, 2014 9:01 a.m.
I support them and give them food...
And now, according to Fox Sports, Sterling has been diagnosed with prostate cancer.— May 2, 2014 7:34 a.m.
Feel sorry for Donald Sterling?
Don: I hope he does. I am all for the league forcing him to sell, even if it is on allegedly shaky legal ground. But the bad part about that, and a good part for Scumbag Sterling, is that the price of the franchise will probably do nothing but rise as this drags on, which will give the Scumbag even more money for the sale.— May 1, 2014 1:38 p.m.
Feel sorry for Donald Sterling?
Don: I used the site Basketball Reference as my source for Walton signing with the Clippers as a free agent on May 13, 1979. Sterling didn't buy the club until 1981.— May 1, 2014 1:34 p.m.
Feel sorry for Donald Sterling?
Except Sterling didn't make that move. Walton was signed as a free agent in 1979, and Sterling's reign of "error" didn't begin until 1981.— May 1, 2014 11:47 a.m.
Union-Tribune circulation takes a hit
Just a guess here. Dougie's plan is to eventually turn the Manchester U-T into an on-line only news service, move the headquarters somewhere else, and redevelop that piece of property where the current headquarters sit. I don't what else he could be doing, because he surely isn't improving the product. He must have really lost his ass with U-T TV.— May 1, 2014 10:26 a.m.
Watch out for the multiplier hooey
I wonder how much money the new arena being built in the bankrupt city of Detroit is projected to bring in.— April 28, 2014 8:42 a.m.
Campbells on leave; SD Opera taking donations
Don: According to the Manchester U-T, the Campbells are on PAID leave. I'm sure they have reasons for doing that, but in my mind, that just sucks.— April 25, 2014 2:37 p.m.
Guilty Trustees (is not, unfortunately, a band name)
The judge in this case is a real piece of...work. Is this judge up for reelection any time soon? She needs to go away.— April 24, 2014 6:31 p.m.
Millions for football in San Diego, zilch for opera
Maybe the city could enter into a ticket guarantee with the opera--after all, that worked SO well for the city with the Chargers.— April 23, 2014 8:32 a.m.
