Spanos family could be worth almost $5 billion
That the Olympics are corrupt is nothing new. Between doped-up athletes and spending billions on facilities that might be finished when the games are held, only to be used once and then allowed to deteriorate while much of the local populace continues to live in squalor (looking at you, Rio de Janiero), the race is on between FIFA and the Olympics every four years to see who can set the corruption bar higher (lower?).— June 10, 2018 10:23 a.m.
Spanos family could be worth almost $5 billion
Allegedly, StubHub Center seats 30,000, but the Chargers still claim 27,000 is the capacity of the venue. But the Chargers have admitted covering 3,000 seats with fancy tarps, while waiting to see if demand is there to sell those other 3,000 seats. Apparently, that demand has not yet materialized, as the Chargers averaged 25,335 per game there last season, according to attendance numbers supplied by ESPN.— June 7, 2018 8:53 a.m.

City workers cheat and lie for disabled spaces
And yet, those city employees were apparently using the placards of someone else.— May 30, 2018 7:28 a.m.
City workers cheat and lie for disabled spaces
It would seem pretty simple--if you are not entitled to a handicap placard, you may not park in a handicap parking spot. As dwbat says above, they should be fired. And if it becomes an issue based on union representation, it should be publicized as to which union would be defending their members illegally parking in a handicap spot. Absolutely no excuse for this. None.— May 29, 2018 1:09 p.m.

Yep--just turn it into a full-fledged sports book ASAP.— May 25, 2018 9:57 a.m.

Voice needs an editor; Chula Vista mayor needs hotelier cash
The completion of Mast Blvd in Santee was another major surface street that was never completed. It was supposed to have been completed after 52 was finished. It never was.— May 17, 2018 11:13 p.m.
