LA isn't necessarily going in the other direction--there are hundreds of millions of dollars being spent on current projects, not limited to the I-5 widening in north and south LA County, the I-10/I-605 interchange improvements, HOV lanes being added, the I-405/I-605 interchange rebuild, adding lanes on the 210 and light rail down the center. But I will give them credit--they are expanding some freeways AND adding light rail.— January 14, 2015 3:51 p.m.
