New sewer lines or new stadium fro San Diego? Your choice.
Don: Very true, but the harassment made it very easy for the conspirators. That will always be on Filner.— January 18, 2015 1:41 p.m.
What about that Spanos money?
It is comical to see different figures for the so-called relocation fee. For a long time, the only figure I had ever seen was $400 mil. You would think the NFL could just come out and say what the actual fee is--if there really is one. And if the league is so desperate to get back into the LA market, why would they charge ANY team a relocation fee?— January 18, 2015 9:33 a.m.

Don: In spite of all the kicking and screaming by Fabiani, and in spite of the so-called "experts" telling us what a great deal for the city a new stadium is, I have come to the realization that it isn't going to happen. I was just laughing at Fabiani earlier this week, when he was going off on Steve Cushman and Kevin Faulconer for choosing him to whatever committee Fabiani thinks he was appointed to (since Faulconer and Cushman both claim he was not appointed to any stadium task force). Of course, the convention center doesn't need any expansion either, but that's not what this story is about.— January 17, 2015 10:01 p.m.

Do: If he hadn't made passes at women, there would have been nothing to confess to.— January 17, 2015 9:01 p.m.
New sewer lines or new stadium fro San Diego? Your choice.
Don: I never said that. All I said was if the city chooses to try to fix Qualcomm with a remodel, $80 mil won't come close to covering it.— January 17, 2015 8:59 p.m.

And the Democrat Party was so desperate to get one of their own in there, they chose Filner. Poor choice, and there may not be another Democrat even electable in the foreseeable future. And what about the staff members who resigned before Filner gave up? They were fired too? I think not. Ultimately, it was Filner who was responsible for what happened. Deflect blame all you want.— January 17, 2015 8:56 p.m.
New sewer lines or new stadium fro San Diego? Your choice.
I was referring to Filner, but not his staff. Unfortunately, Filner's reputation led to the removal of his entire office staff (at least those who hadn't already quit) whether it was justified or not. If he had behaved himself, he would still be mayor today. He would not have been recalled, nor would he have needed to resign.— January 16, 2015 7:59 p.m.
Mark Fabiani's San Diego takedown
I think many of the "many wasted millions of dollars" was, and is, on Fabiani.— January 16, 2015 6:36 p.m.

Don: Well designed for a multi-purpose stadium (as in for baseball and football). As football is primarily played there now, the seats should be closer to the field. Without a major remodel of the stadium, that can't happen. $80 million wouldn't even come close to fixing it.— January 15, 2015 9:36 p.m.

Don: Well, for starters, I wouldn't have done what he did.— January 15, 2015 9:33 p.m.
