San Diego Raiders...how does that sound?
Don: I still can't believe the relocation fee will be that high, but that number is being used all the time now. And since you did point out the owners are quite greedy, another $550 mil split 30 ways probably has them salivating.— January 10, 2016 5:58 p.m.
NFL oomph
According to Forbes, the value of the Chargers is already higher--at $1.525 billion, but I can't see someone buying the Chargers and keeping them here without a new stadium here.— January 5, 2016 11:37 p.m.
NFL oomph
I can't even imagine any relocation fee being that high--not even close.— January 5, 2016 8:40 p.m.
Time's up. No sexual harassment claim possible.
Fortunately, FORMER Mayor Filner is gone. Except, of course, for any remaining damage claims yet to be paid (if any).— December 29, 2015 10 p.m.
Fabiani packing up the carpetbag?
He has to do something with all that money Spanos has been paying him over 14 years.— December 28, 2015 4:57 p.m.
Whoever replaces Fabiani...
Our buddy JohnnyO/David Benz/John Ogre has finally resurfaced and has started posting the joys of Carson again on the U-T website. I am taking it upon myself to let all of those posters know the fraud that he is, while reminding him of his posts back in February stating that Spanos had a deal with Kroenke to play in Inglewood. I'm looking forward to the denials.— December 21, 2015 11:46 p.m.
Whoever replaces Fabiani...
Don: But how can that be? Our regular expert (JohnnyO/David Benz/John Ogre) has already said the St Louis plan is going to be approved any day now. Of course, the plan does have a slight $450 million hole if the Rams and NFL don't contribute money to it...— December 14, 2015 4:27 p.m.
Whoever replaces Fabiani...
Don: They would play as a lame-duck team, which is something the NFL is trying to avoid at all costs. But if they allow the Rams and Chargers to relocate to LA, the NFL is really going to have to get creative to find places for both teams to play since the Coliseum can only take one NFL team on a temporary basis. Which team would draw better in the Coliseum? I suspect it would not be the Chargers.— December 14, 2015 4:23 p.m.
Fine meat abounds at Siesel’s
Glad to see the author also mention Iowa Meat Farms. They make a VERY good chorizo as well.— December 13, 2015 2:21 p.m.
Whoever replaces Fabiani...
And now, stories are circulating that shenanigans have gone on in St Louis to get their alleged stadium plans approved, and that the FBI may soon be involved.— December 12, 2015 2:47 p.m.
