Letters about bike lanes continue to roll in
"Our mayor drives the largest SUV manufactured, a Ford Excursion." Isn't that the same vehicle that Bob Filner was driven around in while he was mayor?— September 7, 2016 10:07 p.m.
Mystery lurks behind Chargers latest $1 million campaign cash
The Chargers are increasingly desperate, as they want nothing to do with being a tenant of Stan Kroenke in the Rams stadium being built in Inglewood--even though the Chargers claim they have a great deal with Kroenke.— September 2, 2016 2:37 p.m.
Raiders apply for a Las Vegas trademark
Don: They don't, but it might be out of their hands should it come to a vote of all the other NFL owners. But I think it would be better for any team to move to San Antonio. It would be embarrassing to The League to have a team in Austin and have that team play second fiddle to the Texas Longhorns.— August 31, 2016 10:51 a.m.
Raiders apply for a Las Vegas trademark
The Chargers applied for a trademark for "LA Chargers" and "Los Angeles Chargers" last year.— August 26, 2016 9:38 a.m.
"The Chargers are cheap and manipulative"
Don: Your feelings are correct.— August 25, 2016 12:15 p.m.
"The Chargers are cheap and manipulative"
They have been a good team here, but they couldn't handle the prosperity. In just the last 25 years, they had Bobby Ross as head coach, but Beathard got rid of him. Then, they had Schottenheimer, but AJ Smith couldn't get along with him, and Spanos eventually fired him (and AJ as well after the downgrade at head coach that AJ was responsible for in the hiring of Norv Turner).— August 25, 2016 9:20 a.m.
Taxpayers association thumbs down Chargers proposal
Cate has already said he doesn't want the Chargers to leave--his concern is with the "plan" the Chargers have concocted for a new stadium.— August 23, 2016 11:09 p.m.
Taxpayers association thumbs down Chargers proposal
Don: He's got more money than Kroenke (but not counting Kroenke's wife).— August 23, 2016 12:39 p.m.
Taxpayers association thumbs down Chargers proposal
Don: My "fight" will entail voting no, and telling anyone else eligible to vote it would be in their best interest to do the same.— August 23, 2016 11:53 a.m.
Taxpayers association thumbs down Chargers proposal
Don: AEG already operates the current arena, and hopefully at some point, they will decide SD could use a nice, new facility. On their dime, of course.— August 23, 2016 10:40 a.m.
