SDSU’s newest rainmaker
Their plans included a too-small stadium for SDSU, and selling SDSU acreage in the future at an inflated price, which would have cost taxpayers millions. Not to mention the fact that SDSU would have to obtain another EIR to expand the too-small stadium proposed by FSI. SDSU never wanted the entire site originally--They only wanted about 45 acres, and a stadium that would suit their needs, which would have been a 40,000 seat stadium, which they were willing to help pay for. FSI wasn't willing to bend, so SDSU did the right thing by backing out of the deal.— August 31, 2017 9:51 p.m.
SDSU’s newest rainmaker
Originally, Soccer City didn't want a vote of the people. They were hoping to get their signed petitions to the city council and have them approve it outright. Fortunately, there was enough early opposition for Soccer City to change it's tune and decide they wanted a vote of the people. And yes--San Diego is the perfect location for an MLS franchise. But you don't need a proposal such as the one offered by Soccer City to get it, while also screwing SDSU in the process.— August 31, 2017 8:52 a.m.

District Attorney yet to file charges against former Poway Schools chief
I'm sure Teflon Bonnie or Super Summer will eventually get around to getting a conviction for a misdemeanor or two--anything to keep up that lofty conviction rate that Teflon Bonnie always likes to crow about.— July 25, 2017 7:52 a.m.
SDSU’s very own bulldozer city?
Although I can't find it, I would swear that the $110 million figure for the Qualcomm site is less than what it was back in 2003, when the Chargers claimed they wanted to build a new stadium on the site.— June 21, 2017 9:48 a.m.
San Diego County's extra $1.7 billion attracts social activists, disgruntled employees
Is the supervisor's slush fund, er, Community Reinvestment Grant monies part of this slush fund, or is it accounted for somewhere else in the catacombs of the County Administration Building?— June 16, 2017 6:03 p.m.
