California sues Manchester's firm; reports show Navy complex push by fired city lobbyist
Dougie's not going to like this...— January 26, 2013 7:27 p.m.
Borrego: one resort for sale, two big properties in escrow
According to a Manchester U-T article, it closed in September. I checked their website, and it was not accepting any reservations. I know it used to be a nice place, but I had not been there for a number of years.— January 16, 2013 9:07 p.m.
Borrego: one resort for sale, two big properties in escrow
Don't forget about the Palm Canyon Resort--it just closed recently, apparently due to the inability to get out from under a large debt load. It also had a fairly large RV park as part of the facility.— January 16, 2013 8:59 a.m.
Sprucing up the Arena — that's a wrap
Note to Ernie Hahn--you want to understand the significance of the 46 year-old building? Originally, it was built for ice hockey. That's the main reason it was built--the San Diego International Sports Arena, built for the San Diego Gulls. Get a hockey team back in the building.— December 21, 2012 4:54 p.m.
You will get hoodwinked on San Diego stadium costs
Don--the city of Atlanta and the Falcons are setting the bar to a new high (or low) level. The Georgia Dome is only 20 years old. But I do understand it is what pro sports have become. Even many minor league baseball teams have done the same thing, and have gotten new parks, even though the cities who have built them in no way could afford them. Fresno and Reno come to mind off the top of my head, but I am sure there are many others.— December 14, 2012 5:02 p.m.
You will get hoodwinked on San Diego stadium costs
Holy crap. Atlanta'a stadium is 20 YEARS OLD! They just spent $300 mil from 2006-2009 for upgrades, and now they are going to get another stadium?!?! For roughly $1 BILLION?!?! I don't know what else to say, other than it is total B.S.— December 11, 2012 7:32 p.m.
You will get hoodwinked on San Diego stadium costs
Lol--I really didn't think so, but thank you for the article.— December 6, 2012 5:21 p.m.
You will get hoodwinked on San Diego stadium costs
Gee--I wonder if this story might ever appear in the Manchester U-T? Well done again, sir.— December 5, 2012 8:08 p.m.
Mayor Cox Cozy with Chula Vista Developer
Even though I don't live in CV anymore, if I remember correctly, that building is pretty close to the county jail/courthouse. How convenient...— November 26, 2012 2:44 p.m.
Padres Make First Off-season Roster Moves
Good luck to Solis.— October 26, 2012 7:54 p.m.
