John Moores getting heavily into horse racing
There have been a few horse-doping scandals recently in Europe as well, but so far they seem to have a better handle on it than here in the U.S. I hope he runs his horses at Del Mar soon--I have never seen an owner get booed before, but if one of his horses wins, and I'm there that day, I'll boo the hell out of him. It probably won't mean a thing to him, but I will enjoy it immensely.— July 3, 2013 10:55 p.m.

U-T San Diego says it will have 24-hour national streaming TV network
Don: The story didn't go into much detail, but there was a story in Voice of San Diego on 1/12/12 that mentioned they wanted both radio and TV stations to move into the building. I knew I had read that somewhere!— July 2, 2013 8:43 p.m.

Don--I'm sure it's just a complete coincidence...— July 2, 2013 6:30 p.m.

U-T San Diego says it will have 24-hour national streaming TV network
Don--didn't the Manchester U-T invite any local TV station that wanted to, to move their operation into the now spacious Manchester U-T headquarters? Dougie and Johnny were desperate to get their hands on a TV station; since they couldn't get one to join them, they started their own. At least they claim they have--I have never watched it.— July 2, 2013 3:01 p.m.
U-T San Diego says it will have 24-hour national streaming TV network
Don--that is a good point.— July 2, 2013 2:56 p.m.

The best corn in San Diego isn't popped in a movie theatre
No "butter"? It slides down so much easier.— July 1, 2013 8:51 p.m.
The current Sunroad blowup shows rank hypocrisy
Don: It does take two to tango, and they should both be investigated. But as dumb as Filner was, someone should throw the book at Sunroad.— June 30, 2013 11:27 p.m.
