Ryan Leaf could serve his Texas term in Montana
Don: Hope Leaf doesn't throw the same kind of passes to Hernandez he threw in the NFL. If someone were to yell "kill the quarterback", Hernandez might just say, "OK".— July 6, 2013 11:20 a.m.
Ryan Leaf could serve his Texas term in Montana
Less competition in Montana--he can still be the starting QB on the prison football team in Montana. Too much talent in football-crazed Texas--he would be on the bench down there.— July 6, 2013 8:52 a.m.
John Moores getting heavily into horse racing
Don: I guess Moores didn't care if his players were doping when he owned the Padres--the late Ken Caminiti was a prime example--at least until Prop C was approved by voters in 1998. Then, many of the ballplayers on that '98 team, including an already breaking down Caminiti, were dumped like spoiled milk. I have no faith that Moores won't do whatever it takes to be successful in horseracing, even if it means looking the other way from time to time, as he did with Caminiti.— July 5, 2013 12:32 p.m.
John Moores getting heavily into horse racing
Then, he did care because he lived here. Now, not so much. He can just go back to Texas and count his millions.— July 4, 2013 11:16 p.m.
U.S. investigating $100,000 donation, Channel 10 says
Don: You bring up another good point. I hope that does not happen this time.— July 4, 2013 9:34 p.m.
U.S. investigating $100,000 donation, Channel 10 says
Don: The proper response would have been to LPH, as she was the one who conveniently left out the Strong Mayor (as she likes to call him).— July 4, 2013 8:37 p.m.
U.S. investigating $100,000 donation, Channel 10 says
Don: At the very least, the Mayor's office should also be under that light, if not Filner himself, along with everyone else you mentioned.— July 4, 2013 7:31 p.m.
John Moores getting heavily into horse racing
Don: I would expect at some point he would, since some of the larger purses in the country are at the Del Mar meet, but I wouldn't expect any there this summer.— July 4, 2013 7:27 p.m.
John Moores getting heavily into horse racing
Don: Yes, that many million can buy lots of earplugs.— July 4, 2013 11:21 a.m.
John Moores getting heavily into horse racing
Don: I brought this story up over on the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club Fan Forum--the few comments so far have not been too kind to Moores.— July 4, 2013 11:19 a.m.
