Imperial Beach right-wing backlashed
Well said RookBeyer. I congratulate our Mayor and Council for this proclamation.— September 14, 2016 9:01 p.m.
Barkworthy: an off-leash dog park for Imperial Beach
Great news. Dogs are people too.— August 10, 2016 8:59 p.m.
Hotel plan surprises Imperial Beach locals
I think I can answer my own question. I just remembered that the Navy Seals are building a new campus nearby. It will probably be government people staying at the hotel while visiting the military base. The hotel would be in a very convenient location for that purpose. Lucrative government customers are at stake.— July 27, 2016 12:56 p.m.
Hotel plan surprises Imperial Beach locals
I would rather see bowling alleys or a theater complex, or something else that provides recreation/entertainment to the people who already live here in IB. Who are the tourists that would come to IB only to stay at a hotel not in reasonable walking distance to the B?— July 26, 2016 6:33 p.m.
Horse, meet Bike. Bike, Horse
And lastly, these horses are not native to North America. They were introduced here by humans. Humans were here first.— July 3, 2016 10:10 a.m.
Horse, meet Bike. Bike, Horse
You need to re-read my post above. I am advocating eliminating horses and bikes from these trails. You never responded to my concern about the fecal waste left behind by these "wild" animals.— July 3, 2016 9:51 a.m.
Wood beach fires come to an end
This is what happens when you give dumb people the freedom to do what they want and then they act irresponsibly. Fire rings would be safer but then who would be responsible for cleaning out the fire pits when the dumb people leave?— July 2, 2016 7:40 a.m.
Imperial Beach homeowners assert claim to boulders
It's a private seawall not a public gathering place. How does this Wallis character (or anyone else) think they have the right to trespass?— June 25, 2016 1:29 p.m.
Bad idea: border-adjacent campground
If you go downtown to the San Diego criminal courts, you will see many white faces there getting arraigned.— June 12, 2016 8:35 p.m.
Bad idea: border-adjacent campground
I was at Border Park last week with my wife and another couple. We spoke to a BP agent who told us that the new fortified wall is working well. They have very few crossings in that area now. It is a safe area despite some of the ignorant comments made here. However it was clear to us that the Feds do not want anyone "loitering" at the State Park or on the beach near federal property. The proposed campground will never happen.— June 12, 2016 8:23 p.m.
