Attorney attacked in court
Again, I don't know what you mean by "subs". The PD has their own hired attorneys, so does the Alternate PD. When there are multiple defendants in a single trial where there may be a conflict the Alternate PD or Office of Assigned Counsel can come in, the lawyers working at the OAC are awful. Experienced criminal lawyers know OAC is incompetent. I don't know what the county is paying the OAC contract attorneys, but I am fairly certain it is going to be a very low contract rate, which denies the client effective representation in most cases because theOAC contract lawyers don't do jack shit b/c of the pay-that is my feeling. If you know what a contract lawyer is being paid monaghan let me know......Contract attorneys working death penalty cases out of San Quentin are only paid $75 an hour, much less than your GED educated CA cop.— December 17, 2012 9:12 a.m.

He did NO JAIL TIME AT ALL, hell yes he got off lightly, he could have been stuck in the Joint for a few years............I am always shocked at the disparity in the sentencing...you get poor people, mainly minorities, who get jail time for minor misdemeanor offenses-petty and minor for most, and then you get "professionals" who are convicted of FELONY offenses, usually non minorities, and this one was even a more serious felony (they are all serious) because it was a sex felony, and NO jail time. The system is very broken, and the reason is the judges, they are appointed and it is not based on merit or scholarship. And they treat people different based on status.— December 16, 2012 9:36 p.m.

They ARE included in the mean/average, which is why you are correct in that they are outliers, that is why the **median**, the 50% mark, half above- half below, is a better measure, then you could use standard deviations to cancel out the outliers.— December 15, 2012 10:26 p.m.
