Bank robbery suspect arrested in Imperial Beach
It was set in the late 70's or early 80's and a boatload of drug money had a transmitter hidden in it- I don't know if it was a GPS per say, but you could tell where the money was by the transmitter....— December 19, 2012 4:35 a.m.
Happy Holiday Bowl, Bridgepoint!
It is not a civil asset at all, it is a predatory fraud outfit ripping off the poor, and ultimately the nation taxpayers who foot the student loan bills that will never be able to be paid back because the they all drop out and the ones who do graduate cannot get a job (can you say Thomas Jefferson and Cal Western Law Schools). Duncan Hunter Mini-Me and his pals in the Congress should be ashamed of promoting this scam outfit. But then again this is just a huge fraud scam with Hunter and the rest of the leeches getting laundered money kickbacks from Bridgepoint.— December 18, 2012 7:04 p.m.

GPS is interesting......did you see "No Country For Old Men"???— December 18, 2012 6:59 p.m.
McGrory to Borrego's rescue?
#Once the golf course and former La Casa are back in business you will kick yourself for not buying in when the prices were low low low. Yes that is the exact same thing RE brokers were saying from 2000-2007, get in now before it is too late :)— December 18, 2012 6:41 p.m.
Anne Hathaway's Britney moment
LOL..I actually prefer them dumb and stoopid (OK, that was sarcastic...no more hating on da pup)— December 18, 2012 12:49 p.m.
Anne Hathaway's Britney moment
Freudian slip :)— December 18, 2012 12:47 p.m.
Happy Holiday Bowl, Bridgepoint!
#The publication notes that the contestants, Baylor and UCLA, are "actual universities. They have campuses, buildings, accredited faculty and a student body that matriculates, graduates and becomes a proud alumni base." The there's Bridgepoint, which the publication calls "a diploma mill," although it points out that more than 60% of students drop out. The publication rattles off some facts that have been reported here many times, and repeats a classic line: Sen, Tom Harkin calling Bridgepoint "a scam, an absolute scam." Classic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)— December 18, 2012 12:46 p.m.
San Diego city council to appeal $1.1 million religious school verdict
Huge mistake, but the council members won't be the ones paying the judgement when the appeal loses. You can expect the judgement to DOUBLE, and maybe even triple once Daniel Dalton's legal fees from the appeal are added in. $1.1 million is not chump change, but the city is going to owe $3 million plus if they go to appeal and lose-which they will.— December 18, 2012 12:42 p.m.
Foreclosures continue to fall in San Diego
The fact that there are ANY REO properties today is astounding, 5 years and counting after the recession started..................it supports the fact that we are still in big financial trouble, as a city, county, state and nation.— December 18, 2012 12:38 p.m.
McGrory to Borrego's rescue?
A man has to know his limitations. Every commercial broker there is wants to really be a developer, not a broker, and many do get into development if they get some $$$ backing.— December 18, 2012 12:36 p.m.
