Guns 'n' Neighbors
I don't own a gun either-probably never will, but I want the choice. And I do, 100%, believe the country is safer with armed citizens-always will. When the police, the elcted officials and the rich and powerful give up their guns and/or armed body guards then there can be talk about limting firearms but not until then. My motto= Instead of a chicken in every pot- a gun in every home.— May 30, 2010 8:54 p.m.
Del Mar’s Arthur Lipper III says whistle-blowers should be rewarded
Don ... all good stuff....and how much was paid for all of these de-regs to come into being? Hundred of millions of lobbying dollars. Let's do some research and find out how many billions the oligopolies paid. ============ jv333, the trial lawyers associtation of America are one of the BIGGEST "lobbying" groups/special interest in the nation. The ONLY reason the Learch bill was passed is b/c the lawyers were outspent, but make no doubt about it-they have bought plenty of their OWN legislation. This country/state/county/city are bought and paid for with speical interest money. There are 40K+ registered "lobbyists" in DC, that is something like 72 lobbyists for every elected official on the hill.— May 30, 2010 4:02 p.m.
Guns 'n' Neighbors
You can never have too many guns or be too "safe" IMO. More guns = less crime.— May 30, 2010 3:58 p.m.
Proposition D: How to Buy an Election
McGrory was bad, but I think the financial side of the City now may be worse. =================== Yes the City is worse off today-as a direct and proximate result of McGrory's pension increases. ALL of our troubles flow from Jack and his magic beans (aka free pension money paid out in the future after Jack is long gone)— May 30, 2010 8:20 a.m.
Guns 'n' Neighbors
More guns are needed in America, not less. And these sheeple are just NIMBY's.— May 29, 2010 8:28 p.m.
Proposition D: How to Buy an Election
the Mayor needs to be back on the City Council...and we need a sharp, honest, accessible financial administrator with enhanced transparency and accountability. (or am i dreaming?) ============ You're dreaming.... Let's just hope you don't dream of Jack McGrory, b/c that is a nightmare.— May 29, 2010 8:24 p.m.
Bad Owner
Not the dogs, but the owners. I would have dialed 911 and pressed charges. We also need the right to carry-so if this type of incident did happen you could blast the offending dog-like an Orange County mother did last week; Published: May 20, 2010 Updated: May 24, 2010 11:26 a.m. 'I aimed at the dog's chest and shot him' http://www.ocregister.com/articles/dog-249757-ann…— May 29, 2010 4:20 p.m.

I really enjoyed Kevin Costner's Robin Hood film.......— May 29, 2010 4:16 p.m.
Letter Suggests SDNN to be Bought Out
Wow-that is one heck of a Saturday shocker!— May 29, 2010 4:14 p.m.
Proposition D: How to Buy an Election
this despite the fact that they kicked all African Americans of Indian descent out of their tribes in order to keep casino money to themselves. ======== This is really a sad sign, when the Indians get to the point that they are booting their own out of their tribe over nothing but money-their ancestors are probably rolling over in their graves right now. At odds with a tribe I saw on TV who had their land stolen back in the 1800's (all of them had their land stolen) as the west was settled, and the USA paid them some money, in the millions, and the tribe refused to take the money, they wanted their land. Now, till this day over 100 years later, this tribe STILL hasn't taken the money. I think it was the Sioux, but will have to look into it.— May 29, 2010 12:51 p.m.
