Proposition D: How to Buy an Election
RE: strong mayor. I don't think it will make any difference. Special interest money so permeates the Cities management and processes that it makes little to no difference. To fix gov we need to control the amount of $$$$ going in to the officials. $$$$ buys undue influence, and undue influence makes for bad government. This is the very reason I was so upset with the SCOTUS and the recent Citizens United decision (Citizens United and Kelo v New London are IMO the two worst SCOTUS decisions in the last 40 or 50 years).— June 1, 2010 9:12 p.m.

What is your opinion of SEDC? ============= LOL....... :)...... About the same as the CCDC, our public employee pensions and KFC Sanders :)— June 1, 2010 9:04 p.m.

Bad Owner
this just really pisses me off. i have a pitbull who is a complete angel, he's 90lbs and is an amazing dog, its things like this that give the entire breed a bad rep. ======== Very true-it is not the breed.— June 1, 2010 4:44 p.m.
City Trying to Block Deposition of Sanders
So the case is in state court. I would never file a case against a gov agency in a state court unless there was simply no other way to into federal court. Too many bad expoeriences with dirty judges at in the state system. Not that there are not bad judges in the federal system, but far fewer :) Hopefully Kessler will get a fair shake.— June 1, 2010 4:42 p.m.
SDNN Was Effervescent Until Drop Dead Day
I have heard from a reliable source that Senturia initially asked a million dollars for the enterprise, but at the end of talks, the price was down to zero. ================= LOL! That is hilarious! http://s15.photobucket.com/albums/a351/nanza63/?a… Nice pic nan! Where are the nudies located?— June 1, 2010 1:37 p.m.

I agree with a2z, there is no discovery limit on anything relevant to the firing. And the rules of discovery are to be applied LIBERALLY-the last thing an appeals court wants to do is send a case back over an issue like discovery-they hate doing that. On a risk/benefit ratio-You never want to limit discovery, it is too much hassle to redo a case that was limting the discovery, as opposed to allowing too much discovery.— June 1, 2010 1:33 p.m.
Bicyclist spits on windshield of car near Miracosta College
If we want to make our lives more safe we need to vote out lawmakers who allow these things to happen, who perverse justice, who are corrupt and believe that they are above the law. ================ Yeah, they are all "tough on crime" until they or a family member gets rail roaded on some ridiculous charge. Reminds me of Randall "Duke" Cunningham who was the poster boy for tough on ctime legislation, right up until the point his son was busted for drug possession and was looking at 10 in the slammer-then Duke cried like a little baby on the House floor begging to change the drug laws....oh the irony. Or the Riverside Police Chief who was arrested for domestic violence at the Bahia a few years back- with eye witness testimony from a Bahia employee, a misdemenaor charge which would have ended his law enforcement career, yet somehow he magically didn't get charged! When the clowns who make the rules don't want the rules to apply to them that is when you know you have some serious problems. If you want to see a good example of this read the SCOTUS case from many years ago Skinner v Oklahoma-it's a riot!— June 1, 2010 7:06 a.m.
Bad Owner
I feel so sorry for your carrin terrier. I agree with you 100% about hunting dogs viewing smaller dogs/animals as prey. The shelters always test out dogs that are being adopted by owners with smaller anilmals and especially cats-if dog attacks a shelter test animal as a prey they will not allow the adopting. I am taking care of a carrin terrior right now- dog ditting her- and the very first day this little 15# terrier attacked another dog I was dog sitting for, a toy poddle that weighed less than 5#'s. So all dogs can get into fights. The terrior's name is Tara-and after the fight-where she very surprisingly made the most vicious growls and barks you could imagine- I started calling her Terror. No mroe problems though.— June 1, 2010 7 a.m.
