Law Firm Giving Financial Advice Taking No New Cases
I just checked the county court website, and pacific law center has had 42 lawsuits filed against them in the last 30 months, 12 in 09 alone. That was just in state court-they had 2 cases in federal court also. Tha place is a fraud IMO.— June 30, 2010 5:33 p.m.
Law Firm Giving Financial Advice Taking No New Cases
Pacific Law Center was a major fraud-I am surprised it has not closed sooner than now. I would think there would also be several malpractice lawsuits against them. They had inexperienced lawyers (nothing wrong with that assuming they worked small case with strong oversight and charged reasonable rates reflecting their inexperience-they did neither), and charged fees far in excess of what their services were worth.— June 30, 2010 5:26 p.m.
SEC Pays Gary Aguirre Big Sum, but More Cleansing Needed
The news made it to the top legal blog; * The SEC pays out $755K to fired lawyer Gary Aguirre, who claimed wrongful termination after he tried to investigate a prominent hedge fund. [Associated Press] http://abovethelaw.com/page/2/— June 30, 2010 2:11 p.m.

Having always admired Nancy Drew... ========= As a kid I was a big fan of the Nancy Drew books, as well as The Hardy Boys and The Three Investigators (newer series). I was very disappointed when the Nancy Drew movie, with Eric Roberts Daughter Emma Roberts(Julia Robert's neice), flopped like a bad pancake. But if you ever watch the Turner Classic Movie chanel they will run a marathon of the old Nancy Drew movies from the late 1930's with Bonita Granville-I like those old movies so much.......— June 30, 2010 11:38 a.m.

May New Home Sales Plunge; West Worst. Wall Street Stunned
But I am pretty sure the Del Mar house and the hookers were paid for with Vernon S&L money-as those were some of the many federal charges he faced in his trial.— June 29, 2010 8:24 p.m.
May New Home Sales Plunge; West Worst. Wall Street Stunned
True, SP. However, before he bought the Del Mar property, he and his wife had a beachfront place in Solana Beach == I did not know that- I thought the only one was the Del Mar beach house..........Dixon got off easy-as did all of those clowns.— June 29, 2010 8:22 p.m.
Be prepared for second recession in Calif.
A direct federal intervention, as was done already with Sallie Mae, (undoubtedly a response to discussion in this blog), is in the public interest, and would be popular. =========== You mean Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae.— June 29, 2010 4:42 p.m.
Se San Diego Hotel Owner Goes Bankrupt
I am pretty sure all properties sold between 2004 and 2008 have negative values from their sale costs.— June 29, 2010 4:09 p.m.
Cameras Lie
The $486 is what is insane! I do not care about the camera's if the cost were more modest, like $50-$75. Then it hurts, but we can pay it easier. Your not gonna want to rack up a bunch of $75 tickets, so it will deter you! The problem is $486 is going to break many people and make them angry. Too much. By Gekko4321 ========== Red light tickets have not been $75 in over 25 years. In fact the camera oerator is probably receiving more than half that $486 to "maintain" the cameras and "process" the info.— June 29, 2010 3:54 p.m.
