June Unemployment Back up to 10.5%
Kelly Cunningham (see post above), says that if you include San Diegans who have stopped looking for work because they can't find it, and are working part-time although they desire full-time jobs, the unemployment rate in the county is 18% ========== That is the U-6 UE rate, and it is usually double the "OFFICIAL" U-3 UE rate, so 18% may be close, but a little low. I was being sarcastic with the 90% claim, but If you do take out the gov employees, there are very few Californians making a decent living. The median annual private sector income is $33K. Now how many in the private sector are making $50K or above, which would allow a comfortable, but not lavish, San Diego lifestyle??? It is not a high %%.— July 16, 2010 4:09 p.m.
June Unemployment Back up to 10.5%
Now use the U-6 rate and it's 22%. Take out the jobs that pay minimum wage or less than $10 an hour, then take out the jobs that have no benefits and ladt take out public employees and then the true private sector UE rate is emerges-90% I bet.— July 16, 2010 1:16 p.m.

Ballpark Study Confesses: "We Hastened and Greatly Worsened the Glut"
the old " mad as hell and I'm not going to take this anymore" does not work these days, we end up taking it, and can't stop it. By MURPHYJUNK 9 ==================== Oh Murph-you nailed it brother~! The scam cannot be stopped, all three branches of gov have been bought and paid for byu special interests, even the judicial branch is nothing more than political back scratching these days.......Why does the supposedly nonpartisan Supreme Court split so often along ideological lines, with the four conservatives locked in combat against the four liberals and the eclectic Justice Anthony Kennedy determining which faction wins? And why do all of the justices so often find in the Constitution a mirror image of their own political and policy views on issues as diverse as abortion, race, religion, gay rights, campaign finance, the death penalty and national security?.......because they are bought and paid for-starts at the SCOTUS and filters down to the local level.....— July 16, 2010 10:34 a.m.
Ballpark Study Confesses: "We Hastened and Greatly Worsened the Glut"
Allowing muni's to use eminent domain to take private property, always low balling, and give it to losers like John Moores for development just kills me. Kelo v City of New London, awful ruling. Is Moores real estate company-JMI-still around or did he close it down when he skipped out of town???— July 15, 2010 10:47 p.m.
Raccoon Wars
We were visiting friends in Julian one summer. After a peaceful walk in the woody hood, everyone was relaxing inside the cabin. It was dark and still until a god awful racket started up on the roof. Upon close inspection with a powerful flash light we saw numerous raccoons having a big fight. ===================== I used to get those crazy critters over at my old home all the time. Once time at about 1 AM, there were four HUGE racoons having some nocturnal pleaures on my patio and making more noise than a Rolling Stones concert, so I hit the outside flood lights-didn't faze them at all. I had a cocker spaniel at the time that was super alpha and she wanted to mix it up with them, the problem was they were twice her size, they were monster big racoons, and they had those huge claws on them....so I tried to scare them off, and they did FINALLY leave. And they actually scaled my 6 foot wooden fence to exit the property, which was quite a site to see, these over fed fatties being able to scale a 6 foot fence......they have cat like climbing abilities.....— July 15, 2010 8:40 p.m.
Raccoon Wars
A neighbor had a cat door at his house. When he went to the kitchen to get a drink at night, he encountered on large raccoon eating his cat's food. The neighbor hopped up on his kitchen counter and waited until the raccoon ambled away and left through the cat door. Needless to say that was the end of the open door policy. ============= LOL...and don't get them mad, they have big teeth and claws and very fiesty attitudes....— July 15, 2010 8:36 a.m.
Little Italy Association Recommended for Parking Contract
As I recall, the bar has looked at his activities ============ Yes they have looked at him and they took no action. I think he lucked out, others doing similar scams were disabrred, (Like the Trevor Law Firm, but instead of ADA they were using B&P code 17200).— July 15, 2010 12:32 a.m.
