Racoon of Near Doom
Tell your neighbor to try either wolf or coyote urine. ============== Errr...just where can one obtain "coyote urine" in San Diego?????— July 26, 2010 10:09 p.m.
Lest We Forget: Pension Woes Worse Than Ever
Some great comments were made to the City Council (said before the vote was taken): "What Planet are you folks from" "If you had guts, you'd also also put a measure on the ballot to recall the entire City Council..." "Add a lot of taxes to the Rich and leave US little voters alone! "You are allowing the Police & Fire Unions to run this City!" "Get a PLAN!" "Don't build the Library (ground breaking tomorrow)" "A freight train is coming" Two Freight trains are coming" "Get serious". ======================== OMG are those FUNNY!!!!!! I especially liked the first one "What planet are you folks from?" Classic!— July 26, 2010 10:06 p.m.
Lest We Forget: Pension Woes Worse Than Ever
Hueso, in frustration, responded at the end of couple of hours of debate and after the vote said, a the 1/2cent increase would add ten cents to a $20 dollar purchase. If people felt compelled to drive 5 10 or 30 miles to another jurisdiction to save a dime in sales tax on a $20 purchase there was nothing he could do. ============ Tell Hueso to go borrow that 10 cents from the county then (and since it is "only 10 cents" then the city won't be missing out on much if it isn't there!), since Bonnie Dumbass and her lackey of a sheriff both received 5 figure RAISES today, in the middle of a depression, when every muni in the state is in the red, the city is technically bankrupt and the state is also, oh.....and the states U-3 Unemployment Rate is 12+%. Even if that sales tax was on the ballot it would never pass anyway, so why waste the time, effort and money.— July 26, 2010 10:03 p.m.
Lest We Forget: Pension Woes Worse Than Ever
FRYE said without more reforms tied to a seven year 1/2 cent sales tax she could not support it. ================== Hahahhaha...."7 year" tax increase my butt, once that 1/2 cent goes in it will NEVER leave. It is nothing more than an employee pension tax. JW, looks like your pension funding is now facing an uphill battle. BTW, I did get another messege from Carl DeMaio on Facebook this morning asking to show up at 2PM at City Hall, but didn't want to spam the Reader TWICE with the same meeting.— July 26, 2010 9:57 p.m.
Where's the Park?
Im all for building, but to he honest I am surprised they can get financing for this kind of project right now, not to mention tenants.— July 26, 2010 6:17 p.m.

I don't think I would enjoy floating around Mission bay/beach getting high on alcohol, it just does not sound like a very fun thing to do-not to mention the very real risk of drowning. But I DO think the alcohol ban was a bad idea (this floatilla proves my point) and think gov eceeded their purpose and over stepped, and I don't even drink.— July 26, 2010 2:04 p.m.
Will For-Profit Colleges Make Us Forget Subprime Mortgages?
Calling me a bumbling moron - with SPAM? Eh? Wow. Well, perhaps you are a hateful non-contributor after all. Only you would have the answer to that statement. I won't outright insult you as you have so liberally done. Anyway, I was not even talking to YOU. This is Don's article, is it not? All you keep doing is posting the same info over and over, interspersed with insults. We get it, okay? The conversation does not begin and end with one perspective. ==================== OK, I take back the "bumbling moron" comment. But these for profit schools are scams, they are shysters ripping of the "poor and ignorant" (my words), and that is not a slam against the poor nor the ignorant, just the fact that they are being defrauded and being taken advantage of due to their ignorance of the fraud of these schools-through no fault of their own, but through the fraud of major for profit corporations, who are not only ripping off the poor and ignorant students (with bogus employment stats and starting/job wages/salaires) but ALSO the taxpayers who end up eating the bogus tuition costs and expenses through defaulted student loans that never had a chance to be paid back in the first place b/c the free market never supported the debt servicing costs of the education, as the Senate report points out. 75%-85% of lawyers coming out of law school today cannot find jobs. Yet there are are over 200 ABA law schools with at least 20 news ones in the last 8 years alone-many for profit and more dubious "non profits" (which pay their employees several hundred thousands of dollars in annual comp). Even one of the BEST law schools in the country, Michigan, is advising their graduates to go to INDIA!!!!! to get work; http://abovethelaw.com/2010/06/we-knew-this-was-g… And if that is NOT enough to make you see the light read THIS ONE; http://abovethelaw.com/2010/07/the-job-market-is-… If these links do not tell you something is SERIOUSLY wrong then nothing will. If a lawyer from a TOP TEN PUBLIC LAW SCHOOL cannot pay back a student loan what do you think is going on at these "for profit" diploma mill schools?????? They CANNOT get jobs with the garbage they are getting fed, at tuition costs DOUBLE that of a decent state school (like U of MI. Law School). And NO, I am not "James from the ABA journal postings". I post on "Above the Law" under "Guest"; http://abovethelaw.com/— July 25, 2010 4:39 p.m.
Will For-Profit Colleges Make Us Forget Subprime Mortgages?
Man, UOP doesn't have a law school- so if that is supposed to be some kind of insult - better luck next time. ===================== Oh really; http://www.mcgeorge.edu/ Better to keep mouth shut and be thought the fool than to open mouth and remove all doubt :)— July 25, 2010 4:22 p.m.

The G4 TV station is covering Comic Con live in 4 hours blocks....... it is a little too over the top for me, just too many costumes and such....in a way it reminds me of Star Trek conventions on steroids.— July 25, 2010 4:19 p.m.

Next: Try travelling to the East Coast (or even Hawaii) and see how many public beaches have MORE laws than ours. ======= I don't care about Hawaii or any other state or any other county for that matter. This is San Diego. If you like Hawaii or the East Coast beaches so much, then move there.— July 25, 2010 11:41 a.m.
