National Dog Day
Dogs make this world go round!— August 29, 2010 3:24 p.m.
What??? Mr. Upbeat, Tony Robbins, Warns of Gloom
Yes, Lerach's home, one of the county's most expensive, is in La Jolla. He once lived in Rancho Santa Fe. =============== Yes, the RSF home is the one where Bill got into a beef with a company that fabricated a giant custom fish tank that Bill said leaked, and ended up in a massive lawsuit-and lost. Milberg spent like $1 million litigating it. But like I said-insurance companeis will out spend you $100 to $1 if they think they are right-does not matter how much they may potentially lose- and this case Lerach lost.— August 29, 2010 9:34 a.m.
"Rolls Out, Rolls Out, Oh How the Money Rolls Out...."
But even bankrupt Vallejo hasn't challenged the pensions, unless there is something that has happened since the last time I looked, which was several months ago. ================= Why didn't they??? They have idiots running that city council, that's why. Going after the pensions would have not cost them a dime-they're already in BK court, so why not? Because even though they had a majority on the council agree to file BK, there was still a majority in the FF/PD pockets that were too chicken to go aftr the pensions. These pople do NOT need $100K pensions at any age, much less age 50-60. They will be fine on a $50K pension.— August 28, 2010 5:33 p.m.
And Here Are Employees Who Bought Years They Didn't Serve
Don, please take a look at these two graphs-especially the 2nd graph. Same with the public employees posting here. After looking at these two graphs-I dare anyone-I DOUBLE DOG DARE anyone- to say these pensions are sustainable. I predict in 1-3 years Calpers will not be able to meet pension payment funding, nor will Calpers be able to collect the extra funding/money needed from the muni's to keep the fund above even a 40% funded level (Calpers is currently at a 47% funded level using private sector accounting standards). http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748703… .— August 28, 2010 5:27 p.m.

"Rolls Out, Rolls Out, Oh How the Money Rolls Out...."
Ultimately, I believe, it will take a ruling from SCOTUS to decide whether or not pensions can be cut. ============ Gov pensions CAN be cut. The BK court in Prichard AL has cut county pensions. BK court is federal court-they can now cut pensions anywhere in America. Will the SCOTUS eventually rule on it?? Possible, if they were to take up the issue-a big if. I think state courts could also cut pensions for FUTURE service years (not past already worked), all we need is a muni to make the challenge.— August 28, 2010 10:33 a.m.

Well then what you'll get, especially in the upper levels and professional position, is a revolving door, or a drain on corporate memory/knowledge. =========== Yes, everyone will quit, that "revolving door" as you call it, because America has TONS of better jobs all over the city, county and state! Please JustCLueless, those cop union talking points may go over at an SEIU beach party, but not here. No one is going to be quiting, not even if they took a 50% pay cut, because no one is hiring. And face the real facts, most gov employees would never cut it in the real world anyway, even if they could somehow get hired.......— August 28, 2010 10:29 a.m.
National Dog Day
Yes, China does eat dog, very uncool. As for North Korea, their famine and low standard of living is entirely, 100%, self induced. The Idiot leader's son is in China right now begging the commies for food b/c the country is starving..................— August 27, 2010 10:36 p.m.
Kerry Steigerwalt of Pacific Law Center says he was the “fall guy”
We truly wish that we were able to proceed faster, but our financial situation simply will not allow it. " I don't believe them now that I have read your article! By nancigorton 7 ======================== They are not going to pay you anything. I would file a claim in Small Claims Court-the limit has been raised to $7500, so you could get a judgement for your entire costs. Go to Kerney Mesa (aka traffic court, in the back of 8950 Clairemont Mesa ) -file the claim. You will be in court and have a judgement within 45 days-it is by far your best option. I would file the cliam against PLC AND Kerry personally, b/c he is going to be the only one with $$$ to pay. PLC is NOT going to give you back a dime voluntarily.— August 27, 2010 9:15 p.m.
