After-Burner
Blasted out of my mind on LSD, GHB, coke, ketamine, mushrooms, and ecstasy, =========== That does not sound good.— September 8, 2010 5:28 p.m.
Times Highlights Malecot Indictment
If the Chargers leave in or around 2013, as anticipated, ============== "anticipated"" ???? Anticipated by who????? The Chargers are not going anywhere in 2013, even if they wanted to. Because of the economic meltdown, the NFL/MLB/NBA stadium shake downs are over-at least for the foreseeable future. Sorry, but it is going to take 2-5 years for this depression to blow over and capital markets to return to lending, and then it will take another 5+ years to line up and build a new stadium, and that is on a BEST CASE scenario. But reality may be triple that 7-10 years. The NFL has been claiming the LA market would get a new team since 1995-that is 15 years and counting-that pipe dream is no closer now than it was in 1995.— September 8, 2010 5:22 p.m.
San Diego’s home-price recovery isn’t what it seems
Jobs control housing, spending, tax revenue, and everything in between. No jobs, no recovery. We have no jobs. Story over.— September 8, 2010 2:41 p.m.
Spanos Really Wants L.A., Says Yahoo! Sports
The City has even less money than the county. Mike Aguirre held a news conference yesterday saying San Diego WAS essentially BK, and should file right now-and that the money Sanders is throwing at the problem - including a new and increased sales tax- is a waste. I agree with him 100%. Remember the "tobacco" lawsuit money, an annuity that Sanders promtly cashed in for 40 cents on the dollar-all of it went right into the pension fund and we are no better off now than we were 2 years ago when he did that-and we will be worse off goign forward.— September 8, 2010 2:39 p.m.
Spanos Really Wants L.A., Says Yahoo! Sports
There is already talk that the county would come in on the new stadium downtown. Even if county taxpayers picked up half the tab, ============= LOL...the county could not even pick up 5% of the tab.— September 8, 2010 11:08 a.m.
Spanos Really Wants L.A., Says Yahoo! Sports
I said in 2008 when the economy melted down that there would be no financing for an LA stadium, much less one built on spec. We could ONLY HOPE that Spanos carpet bags his way to another location-we could AFFORD to give away $78 million in 96, and we sure cannot afford to give away $500 million today. A stadium in San Diego financed and paid for by taxpayers are over. The days of corporate welfare/giveaways are over. The jig is up. If the Chargers want to move to greener pastures it is not going to happen for some time. At least 5-8 years IMO. The economy has grounded the Spanos Crime Family from fleeing the jurisdiction.— September 7, 2010 5:16 p.m.

Back on the street after six months in the San Diego County Jail
recently i heard a story from an inmate about how when he got arrested and tooken to head quarters he was left inside the police car with the windows up for a long period of time ===================== LOL!! This is a form of abuse and is done intentionally, and what the cops do is put the heater on with all the windows rolled up for 45 minutes so the person handcuffed in the backseat bakes to death-this is also very dangerous-obviously. There are other abuses with the cars-the most infamous being the "Hollywood Screen Test". That is where the cop is driving the car about 30 MPH and instantly SLAMS on the brakes-so the person handcuffed in the backseat goes flyingh face first into the metal mesh screen dividing the backseat from the front seat. There are other abuses-you just need to be aware of them and report them when they happen in case you want to bring a civil rights lawsuit.— September 6, 2010 3 p.m.
Linda Vista Landmark Skateworld Faces the Wrecking Ball of Redevelopment
I used to live in Linda Vista-on Goodwin, and it was at the end of the street and overlooked the entire USD campus as well as the ocean-best place I ever lived. I also liked the area b/c it was so centrally located-to everything. Enjoyed living there.— September 6, 2010 2:55 p.m.
Notes From A Second-Story Window
It certainly is different. Middle school here is grades 7,8, and 9, and then prep is 10-12. ============= In CA some middle/Jr High schools go 7th, 8th and 9th. Southwestern Middle School in Chula Vista uses this model. Most are 7th and 8th grade though. Many-particularly in the LA area- follow the 6th, 7th and 8th grade format. I have no idea why it is not uniform throughout the state, except to suggest the individual districts are allowed to use whatever model they feel works.— September 6, 2010 2:53 p.m.
