San Diego City Employees pension fund ailing
JC, that response was from a post nearly one year old........let this one die a painless death.— September 18, 2010 7:02 p.m.
Lincoln Acres family cited for illegal house
Or, am I too naive to think that there are still honorable politicians/organizations out there? =============== Hhahah...you made a funny. It is right there in the story-they had help and the elected offical abandoned them when the Cuty refused to grant the requested variance. I would try the Mayors office too I think.....— September 17, 2010 3:10 p.m.
The cheap motels on San Diego's Midway Drive, the vending machines
Now that was a great story........some parts sad and not so good, but it shows hope and redemption, and light at the end of the tunnel- if you can make it that far.......and that is a big IF for many. Gives people hope. Thanks for telling your story........— September 16, 2010 10:26 p.m.
Gores Going Digital. Pro Basketball Next?
Forbes Magazine says the Pistons are worth $479 million, but analysts think the sale may go through for $100 million to $125 million less than that. =================== $350-$375 million seems like a low ball price for an NBA franchise. I wonder if it will sell that LOW..— September 16, 2010 10:17 p.m.

The actions of the planning dept are common, these incompetent idiots run rampant in gov, and seem to be in every planning department I have encountered......all of them-Chula Vista was the worst.— September 16, 2010 5:17 p.m.

I would sue Litton Loan Servicing too.......and Freddie Mac, they were on notice of the problem and had a material duty to disclose, whether or not Litton Loan Servicing informed them. Once Litton Loan Servicing was notified then Freddice Mac was on constructive-if not actual- notice.— September 16, 2010 5:13 p.m.

Wright pointed out that the citations are accessible to the public at the Department of Planning and Land Use. You can walk in there and get the information, he insisted. But the title insurance company defines public records as documents that are recorded in the county recorder’s office. ============== LOL....an insurance company engaging in insurance fraud-who would have guessed!!!! NO, a document does not have to be filed with the county recorder for it to be a public record or document. I would sue BOTH real estate agents-buy and sell side, their brokers, the seller and the title insurance company that wrote the policy. They will settle, and fast if they are smart (don't expect them to eb smart though).— September 16, 2010 5:01 p.m.
Prop R, for Rewards at Southwestern College
With this level of graft involved, I am curious why our district attorney, B. Dumanis, is not furiously pursuing fraud, bribery or other charges against these officials ============== Hahahah...you made a funny. You mean have Bonnie Dumbass do her job and make flaming signposts out of these crooks as a lesson to other crooks who would possibly think about doing the same crime/s....good one!!!!!— September 16, 2010 4:57 p.m.
NY Pension System Underfunded; State Broke
From the date Proposition 13 took effect in 1978 until now, property tax revenue has increased 580 percent. You read that correctly: 580 percent. During that same time, California’s population went from about 24 million to 38 million, an increase of only 58 percent. In other words, government revenue under Proposition 13 has grown 10 times the rate of population growth.— September 16, 2010 4:52 p.m.
San Diego’s home-price recovery isn’t what it seems
This is for all Bush finger pointers out there. By shmoov_groovzsd 1 ========================== The finger pointing goes to pretty much all of the idiots during the last 50 years, from kennedy on forward. But the fact is at oleast under Clinton we had a budget SURPLUS. The meltdown happened on Boohhiees watch, at the end of his term, he certainly has to take the blame for the majority of it. IMO Alan "Mr Bubble" Greenspan is the one most responsible for the meltdown. But the leverage, and the deregulation, on Wall Street are two other major factors.....— September 16, 2010 4:51 p.m.
