Encinitas City Council Candidate Tony Kranz Accused of “Attack”
people are just asking if this has any bearing on his fitness for office. answer: ABSOLUTELY. watch it for yourself at the address above on youtube. ================== OK, so your complaint is not that he is liable civilly or criminally, only that he does not deserve to be in a position of leadership based on your allegations, fair enough. If I were a voter there I would still want more than that YT video. Sorry, just MHO.— October 24, 2010 5:59 p.m.
Encinitas City Council Candidate Tony Kranz Accused of “Attack”
Pictures and two witnesses weak? What else would u like? Signed cofession from Tony Kranz? He looks like charlie Manson to me. This is not csi. In real life, pictures and witnesses are enough to convice a jury. ============================== LOL.. that video is not going to convince a jury of anything holmanspet, other than the guy gave you the finger, which is certainly not against the law (not even under the "fighting words" doctrine). He does not look like C. Manson to me, but even if he did, that is not against the law. In real life, when making accusations, the burden is upon the one making them, not the other way around. Look, if the guy did the things you ALLEGE, he was wrong, but this video does not support a case, certainly not a criminal case and IMO not even a civil case where the evidence bar is substantially lower.— October 24, 2010 5:55 p.m.
Encinitas City Council Candidate Tony Kranz Accused of “Attack”
holmanspet, that video "evidence" is pretty weak, to say the least. It is not a video of an assault, but a video of 2 or 3 still pictures that show nothing other than this guy giving you the one finger salute, with a bunch of stupid and distracting background music giving me brain damage as I watched it. Everyone has the right to their own point of view-and I agree no one has the right to use force to challenge your view, but if your claim is this guy was using force against you then you need to bring some real evidence, like the police making an arrest based on probable cause, or a legit pic or video of an actual battery on the person. This is just a toothless accusation on your part......— October 23, 2010 11:56 p.m.
Remembering Mr. C.
I have a friend whose mother immigrated from Mexico with her six kids in the 60s. She was the housekeeper for Stephen Cannell for 30 years. When he was about to graduate high school, Mr. Cannell asked him what he was going to do. He said he didn't know. Mr. Cannell invited him to work as a script boy and in T.V. Production for Cannell Productions. He has wonderful stories about drinking Diet Coke with "Lawrence," who is Mr T. ================== Mindy, I was/am a HUGE fan of Stephen J Cannell, who developed one of my all time favorite shows, "The A-Team" (starring Mr T!!). They play re-runs of The A-Team on one of the local cable channels called Centric. Stephen J Cannell was the one who came up with the idea for and devloped The A-Team and owned that show-as well as tons of others-like Renegade. Cannell also wrote MANY of the episodes for the series he developed, so when you see the credits at the end of his shows, many times he would have the writers credit-including the A-Team. Cannell also developed Renegade and played the guy chasing Reno Raines-forget his characters name- which I always got a kick out of. He was in about 2-3 episodes per season. Like when Alfred Hitchcock made a cameo in all of his movies! It was really a huge loss when he died last week. All the people who posted on his obit page on the LA Times had wonderful stories to tell about him-JUST LIKE the one you just told about your friends son, he sounded like a real stand up guy. And I loved the end of his shows, where you saw him typing away and then he pulled the paper out and threw it up in the air and it turned into the logo of his company. Stephen J Cannell was a legend in the TV industry, and he will be missed greatly.— October 23, 2010 9:52 p.m.
Remembering Mr. C.
I happened to glance into a trailer that was open and saw a surly, pouting blonde woman furiously smoking a cigarette. It was only later that I realized it was KRISTEN BELL! ===================== Kristen Bell was really good on Vernoica Mars. I like her alot as an actress. She is pretty good actress...... I always find it funny when you see celebs who smoke!!!! I was really let down when I saw a pic of Eva Mendez smoking......— October 23, 2010 9:40 p.m.

i LOVED Veronica Mars and was so sorry to see it go off the air ================= LOL..I too was a closet Veronica Mars fan...I originally just watched it b/c they filmed it here in SD, then I started to like all the little twists and turns the writers took with it!!! "Neptune High School" !!!!— October 23, 2010 5:32 p.m.
A Chat About Lemon Grove Kid Dennis Hopper
actually i was more excited about Greg Peck who came from San Diego... ====================== Nan, I have a copy of the 1935 SDS College yearbook, and they have Eldred ("Gregory") Peck in it under the Epsilon Eta fratenrity members...........He looks like a 15 year old boy. Peck didn't stay long at SDSC, he transferred to UC Berkley.— October 23, 2010 12:27 p.m.
Remembering Mr. C.
Lorenzo Lamas--my all-time heartthrob--used to go to my sister's restaurant in RB when he was married to Shauna and living in Poway. ====================== Mindy-when Stu Segall Productions was filming "Renegade" and "Silk Stalkings" here locally I would see them filming ALL the time! I was living in South Mission Beach and they had crews filming at Mission Beach almost every week. It was always cool to see movie production being filmed here locally. I personally think Lamas's then wife Kathleen Kinmont is one of the best looking women I have ever seen. I would love to see her acting in more high profile roles. Shauna Sands, eeeewwwwwww......Skanky!!!! I also recall when Chuck Norris filmed "Top Dog" here and they burned up an apartment complex on Bankers Hill-the complex was going to be gutted and then rehabbed-so they burned part of it for production. I also saw them shooting Richard Gere's "Mr. Jones" on Bankers Hill too, in fact the house in Mr. Jones is only a few blocks away fom the apartment complex they burned up in Top Dog. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJec-mh4WJw . September SD Unemployment Stays at 10.6%
AZ, good post on corps! I feel that corps should have never been given the same rights as natural persons, because they simply are not naturaL PERSONS. the size and the infuence that CORPS can command due to their $$$ needs to be controlled, AND SINCE CORPS CAN LIVE/SURVIVE IN PERPETUITY, THAT ALONE IN MY BOOK SHOUILD PREVENT THEM FROM HAVING THE SAME RIGHTS.— October 23, 2010 9:07 a.m.
Three-Year SD Consumer Spending Drop Worst Since Great Depression
Of course he will wipe out the elderly and savers if he boosts the inflation rate. Bernanke is a lunatic. ============================ Big Ben a lunatic??? I thought Big Ben was a Wall Street Guru, from the Academic side? Did Big Ben not say in "The Great Moderation"; "we are in a new era, where economic volatility has been permanently eliminated"..................LOL-classic!!! But wait folks (as they say in late night infomercials) there is more. This video should make people think twice about listening to anything that Chairmen of the Fed Ben Bernanke says. It's a compilation of statements he's made from 2005-2007 that will have you 100% certain America is doomed if we continue to value what this moron says, PLEASE listen very carefully @ 1:15; . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQ79Pt2GNJo .— October 23, 2010 8:59 a.m.
