Bridgepoint: Bad for Students, Good for Gamblers?
Every non-profit school gets tax payers dollars in the form of subsidizes... how is that any different considering that it costs more to go to a state school if you take away the subsidizes? ==================== Yes, state schools get subsidizes, take that away and they are STILL 1/4 of the cost of this diploma mill.— February 17, 2011 7:39 p.m.
Bridgepoint: Bad for Students, Good for Gamblers?
F the Department of Education... your just pissed because all your non-profit schools (like state schools) dont get all the government help they used to. ..... Dont cry just cause someone can make a buck and actually help people get an education at the same time. Capitalism_is_cool 1 ==================== I have to laugh at this clowns grammar, and it is obvious the clown is a Bridgepoint student; "...YOUR just pissed..." Hey clown did they ever teach you the difference between "your" and "you're" in 5th grade???— February 17, 2011 7:37 p.m.
Wisconsin Governor Proposes Deep Benefit Slashes
I have read and seen several reports in the last couple of days that their are 3 unions whose benefits are not being touched, those of the police, firefighters and state troopers ============== This is a major mistake, and it is exactly what Meg Whitman did in her so called pension reform when she ran for gov. It backfired on her. Plus the FF's are at the teacher protests right now, so I don't think it was a quid pro quo.— February 17, 2011 7:32 p.m.
Gary Aguirre Major Source in Taibbi Blockbuster
Dylan Ratigan did his entire show on this issue today-and credited Taibbi. Taibbi also did a veyr well written write up on Goldman Sachs... a year or two ago. Guy is smart.— February 17, 2011 6:46 p.m.
Wisconsin Governor Proposes Deep Benefit Slashes
Why, those are my honest feelings, and I am not running or hiding from them. If you read the entire post it is very clear why.— February 17, 2011 9:42 a.m.
Wisconsin Governor Proposes Deep Benefit Slashes
How exactly would you propose to organize a government that is NOT a monopoly? That would be an interesting (failed) experiment. ================ My view is you CANNOT allow collective bargaining in a monoploy, such as gov employment.— February 17, 2011 9:40 a.m.
California State Bar Rejects Charges Against Mike Aguirre
I bet you if Mike ran for Mayor today he would have a decent shot at getting elected. Better than 50/50 IMO. The poltiical climate has changed since he lost re election. Average people are now far more aware of these budget/pension problems today/— February 16, 2011 5:38 p.m.
In San Diego if you don’t have a DUI, chances are your neighbor does
He has never in his life felt such a terrible sense of shame. He is the selfish person who recklessly drove drunk. He may not have killed anyone, but he knows he is no better than the people who have. =============== I have never had a DUI, but this is how I feel about all the times I drove after drinking. That happened decades ago, but I still feel terrible about it today, and always will.— February 16, 2011 5:34 p.m.
