The Federal Reserve's Money Orgy
Post #24 nailed it Don. Of course Booshie the corporate welfare King now says the baiolouts were a mistake! Yeah right.— April 30, 2011 9:30 a.m.
Fire Department Compensation Far Higher than Private Sector's: Study
What you forget to mention is that the judge in question only RECENTLY revealed that he was in a long-term relationship with another gay male at the time, which gave him EVERY REASON to rule against Prop 8 =================== Wrong again. Do you even follow the issues or the case?? Walker is gay- that was known by ALL parties BEFORE the trial and before his ruling-it was in every major paper in America, and if the Prop 8 people wanted him off based on him being gay they could have asked BEFORE he got the case, before he ruled. They didn't, so it is game over on his "bias".— April 29, 2011 9:59 p.m.
The Federal Reserve's Money Orgy
I think as long as the people runing the show can bounce back and forth, working for the Fed one year and the banks the next, any kind of progress in financial reform is unlikely. ============== There should be a 5 year ban, that was a key component Ross Perot's presidential run.— April 29, 2011 9:54 p.m.
Fire Department Compensation Far Higher than Private Sector's: Study
. I probably would've voted in favor of gay marriage, just so I wouldn't have to hear about it anymore... but after being falsely accused and maliciously prosecuted by my "good buddy" Dumanis (at heller expense to taxpayers), I swore to shoot down all pro-gay measures on the ballot. ================= LOL....OK, come on!— April 29, 2011 12:46 p.m.
Fire Department Compensation Far Higher than Private Sector's: Study
I disagree, since the judge is not only gay but has clear bias in the ruling. ========= Walker is gay-so what? Are you saying if a hetro ruled he would be bias in favor of hetro's??? Are you saying a black judge cannot rule on issues involving blacks??? Or that jewish judges cannot rule on jewish issues?? Or woemn judges cannot rule on female gender issues???? Please. The fact Walker was gay was well known by ALL parties before trial, if anyone wanted to get rid of Walker they had the opportunity to do so BEFORE he ruled. The Prop 8 backers did not challenge Walker when they had the chance. You don't get to raise issues AFTER the fact. If you don't raise the issue at trial when you had the chance-and they had the chance-then the issue is deemd to be "waived".— April 29, 2011 12:44 p.m.
State Bar Yanks License of Carlsbad's Michael Pines
Richard Honn is nothing more than a gov yahoo who will rubber stamp ANYTHING the Bar puts in front of him. Honn is not really a judge, just an extention of the Califonria State Bar. But this lawyer enagaged in very reckless behaviour and I agree he is a danger to the public. "I'm going to precipitate an armed confrontation." YOU make comments like that and you should be in jail.— April 29, 2011 12:30 p.m.
Search for Shelter Site Begins and Ends on Newton Avenue
There are many homeless children. ==================== KCET PBS has a 30 or 60 minute segment called "Motel Children" and is is a documentary on homelss children and it is hertbreaking. They did a really good segment on a woman who works as a mentor to teenage girls-Brandi Stone, and the weirdest thing happened, this mentor brandi and I have a mutual friend and when I saw her I KNEW she was from the show, and she was. Anyway, it is an awesome eye opening, and somewhat heartbreaking, documentary, "Motel Children". . http://www.kcet.org/shows/socal_connected/socal-c… .— April 28, 2011 5:19 p.m.
The Federal Reserve's Money Orgy
I suspect that Paulson wanted Lehman to go, eliminating a competitor of Goldman, his alma mater ============== I would put more than even money on that bet!— April 28, 2011 4:25 p.m.
Judge Grants Injunction to End NFL Lockout. Victory for Players
I also am VERY surpised the local community did a $300 million rehah/renovation. Shocking really. That is some serious coin. Not that far behind what the Chargers claimed they could build a NEW stadium for really. I am so tied of this corporate welfare for the billionaires-when are the numbskulls going to wake up and smell the coffee, these owners are BILLIONAIRES (or extremely wealthy for the most part), why are the little guys paying their freight??— April 28, 2011 4:23 p.m.
Judge Grants Injunction to End NFL Lockout. Victory for Players
almost all of it was paid for by the taxpayers in the form of the tried and true sales tax increase. =========== Wow, that was a major let down.....just deflated my respect for Green Bay. Sales tax, yuck. The sales tax is the most regressive tax there is, and very few people who pay it are going to be able to get a benefit out of it in the way of seeing a game.— April 28, 2011 4:20 p.m.
