Locals Suing Courtney Love (Who Once Got Me Fired By Larry Flynt)
Holmes and her law firm are going to be fighting an uphill battle. But the purpose of the lawsuit may not be to win anyhting, but to be a nuisance lawsuit to Love, forcing Love to spend money to defend it. It might also verge on the edges of being a SLAPP lawsuit-and if a court disisses it under the Anti-SLAPP codes Holmes is going to be out big bucks.......and sueing somoene over a tweet about being "bought off" is dangerously close to frivioulus litigation.........— June 2, 2011 1:56 p.m.
Scorsese to Direct Big-Screen Biopic of Liz and Dick?
Russell Crowe might be able to pull off Burton.... MIGHT ================= Russell Crowe could pull off ANYONE, he is a much better actor than Burton ever was, hands down. Liz was such a beauty when she was younger, cannot think of anyone today that can match her in the looks department........— June 2, 2011 1:46 p.m.

Former Student Files Suit Against Thomas Jefferson School of Law
On the human side, coming out of a program such as that, with $150K of debt and not being able to pay on it, now or ever, is the ultimate in victimization. It ought to be a criminal, and someone should go to jail about this. Oh, Bahnee, where art thou in this fraud? She's AWOL as usual. ==================== IT IS FRAUD, AND THE REASON IT IS ALLOWED IS BECAUSE THE CONGRESS IS GETTING PAID OFF.— June 1, 2011 1:26 a.m.

Former Student Files Suit Against Thomas Jefferson School of Law
From the linked NLJ article; "For more than 15 years, TJSL has churned out graduates, *many of whom have little or no hope of working as attorneys at any point in their careers," the complaint reads. *many= 50%-80% . http://www.law.com/jsp/nlj/PubArticleNLJ.jsp?id=1… .— May 31, 2011 8:48 a.m.
SD Housing Values Down 38.5% from Peak
It is official. Double Dip. I called it back in 2008- a 3-5 year depression. I was substantially off the mark though. It is going to be a 5-10 year depression.— May 31, 2011 8:36 a.m.
Former Student Files Suit Against Thomas Jefferson School of Law
Alaburda says that wasn't true for her. Instead, three years have passed since graduation day and she she hasn't found full-time employment as an attorney. The National Law Journal story reports Alaburda had to settle on a job reviewing documents in order to pay the $150,000 in loans that she amassed while a student at Thomas Jefferson School of Law. ===================== Over 50% of all graduating law students will NEVER get a job as an attorney-the jobs are not out there-and never will be. The over supply of new law grads is STAGGERING. We have too many law shcools, too many new lawyers and more ABA law schools coming online everyday. ABA law schools have been increasing at about 1% per year, while the market for lawyers has dried up to almost zero, and present jobs decreasing at a rate of 10% or more per year. Bad combo. And "document review" is the kiss of death for a law grad, once that makes it onto your resume you will NEVER (or close to it) get a real attorney job. It is also not legal work. It is trained circus chimp work. Doc review pays $10-$20 an hour with NO benefits, none at all, temp work, awful working conditions, very low pay. I have to laugh at gov employees like cops and firewhiners who claim you MUST offer $200K comp packages to get the "best and brightest" appicants, who have nothing more than HS diplomas and GED's- while highly educated PROFESSIONALS are reduced to working for as little as $10 an hour in temp jobs with no benefits in the real world. If this class action succeeds it could be the demise of Thomas Jefferson LS and a number of other "TTT" law schools. I would estimate that 60%-80% of ALL law grads from TTT law schools will never be ABLE (no jobs, not enough money being paid for the few jobs out there)to repay the $100K-$200K that LS set them back. That is another reason we will see many of these TTT LS's close down. Once the DoE sees the true default rate it won't continue the student loans. BTW-the pic is of the old I-5 location, didn't they move into a brand new building downtown??— May 31, 2011 8:34 a.m.
Does Sweetwater’s Hiring of Greg Vega Constitute Conflict?
Waste of money. vega was obviously padding the bills, and the reason he got away with it is because we have idiots running the gov who don't have a clue.— May 29, 2011 9:04 p.m.
