Sinkhole opens, damages cars in Point Loma
#I thought that Sanders had all in order when he left office. Gee, is there still an infrastructure problem? Sure looks that way. At least KFC Sanders "fixed" our pension mess :)— February 18, 2013 10:35 p.m.
Secretary of state's friend disbarred
He WILL get his law license back IF he wants to. No such thing as a permanent disbarment. Wait 2-3 years and ask for reinstatement. it will be granted.— February 18, 2013 10:32 p.m.
Secretary of state's friend disbarred
#Revocation of that Silver Star may make sense to many, but these disgusting offenses do not cast any negative reflection upon his wartime accomplishments. if he had been awarded the Silver Star due to dishonesty or error, then by all means, "strip" him of the medal. But his conduct decades after his wartime service has no connection to the award of the medal. I agree 100%.— February 18, 2013 10:25 p.m.
San Diego city council surrenders in costly Catholic school case
BTW Burwell, where did you get the old maps???? How can I get copies????— February 18, 2013 5:45 p.m.
San Diego city council surrenders in costly Catholic school case
#I have original maps to prove it. It may be that developers have reasons to rebrand University Heights into North Park, but legally OLP is in University Heights regardless of what the developers want the City to call the area. The area should retain its historic and correct name That is exactly what I was referring to the ORIGINAL maps and boundaries, not the ones redrafted in 1988 OR whenever they did it. Some one said C Arnholt Smith redid the lines when he bulldozed single family homes in NP and out up apartments.— February 18, 2013 5:44 p.m.

Definitely NOT University Heights.— February 18, 2013 2:04 p.m.
San Diego city council surrenders in costly Catholic school case
Yes, the **CURRENT** SD City map shows North Park, but Christy, don't you admit that the CURRENT SD City was **REVISED** in 1988 (??) and the **BOUNDRIES** changed???? Just to be accurate, as it stands today it is NP, but that may not have been the case originally or historically, and may be a recent change. But as it stands today Christy is correct.— February 18, 2013 2:03 p.m.

#Matt, OLP is in North Park not Normal Heights. From their own website; *The Academy of Our Lady of Peace is an all‑girls, Catholic private secondary school. Sponsored and administered by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, OLP is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and the National Catholic Education Association (NCEA). .....**Located in the Normal Heights area of San Diego**, the Academy serves students who reside throughout San Diego County and in Baja California, Mexico.* http://www.aolp.org/about/school_profile.jsp— February 18, 2013 10:54 a.m.
Intoxicated bank robber caught in Vista
#After the initial intoxication arrest, Krutz was found to be in possession of a large quantity of cash and confessed to the robbery. Wow, gets filed under the dumb criminal column.— February 18, 2013 10:51 a.m.
