Brand left??? More like escorted out for trying to pull strings in the teacher hiring process at a local K-6 school for one of his cronyism buddies.— December 13, 2011 11:50 p.m.
I have been nothing but a shadow since your death. Here I stand till we meet again.
It would be nice if you identified the location of the pic......................— December 13, 2011 11:26 p.m.

Orson Welles's Oscar for Citizen Kane Back on the Auction Block
Well, if money were no object I would buy the ultimate movie prop of all time-the ruby red slippers used in "The Wizard of Oz". There were 7 pairs made for the movie, three of which were worn during the filming, and one of the three movie worn pairs is going up for auction off this Friday in an LA movie memorbilia auction; http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/09/22/us-fine… Alas, $3 million is about 2,999,900 out of my price range— December 13, 2011 5:44 p.m.
How Sempra used cash-balance plans
YES, Roan Polanski. The Swiss refused to extradicte him though, a STUNNING rebuk of LA Procesutor Cooley. The Swiss said if Cooley really wanted him they could have nabbed him long ago. The old "laches" defense.....— December 13, 2011 5:40 p.m.
How Sempra used cash-balance plans
Bogdonavich has been doing a LOT of commentary on TCM and other places that run clssic movies. His knowledge of the industry is truly amazing. I like to listen to him because he has such great insight into the creative side of movie making-and of course he has made some fantastic movies.......his personal relationsships with Dorothy Stratten and then his marriage to her younger sister are a bit off the wall, but I do like the guy and deeply admire his insight and intellect into movie making.— December 13, 2011 12:06 a.m.
Layoffs at Voice of San Diego
Dumbass has no chance at Mayor whatsoever. If she gets even 10% of the vote I will eat a dead squirrel. I predeict DeMaio willl win by a decent margin, and the reason is not that he is some great politician, but the fact that he has taken on public pension reform. The people are fed up with the pension scams and DeMaio has tapped that anger. And believe me it is anger. Serious anger.— December 12, 2011 11:58 p.m.
Orson Welles's Oscar for Citizen Kane Back on the Auction Block
I'd buy it for $60K.....In fact I would pay $500K for it. Citizen Kane is ranked as the #1 film of all-time by the AFI.— December 12, 2011 11:55 p.m.
How For-Profit College Lobbyists Bought Congress
I remembered this so clearly, and I just did a Google search and this is a similar deal that came up in 2001, the deal I was speaking if happened in 98 or 99, so there must have been multiple deals Blum, CBRE and Wifey cooked up together; EXCLUSIVE: On the day the new Congress convened this year, Sen. Dianne Feinstein introduced legislation to route $25 billion in taxpayer money to a government agency that had just awarded her husband’s real estate firm a lucrative contract to sell foreclosed properties at compensation rates higher than the industry norms. http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2009/apr/21/s…— December 12, 2011 4:28 p.m.
How For-Profit College Lobbyists Bought Congress
Blum receives a large chunk of his business from sweetheart deals with wifeys work in the Senate. Back in the late 1990's he had the federal gov feeding his firm CB Richard Ellis HUGE chunks of commercial real estate that the gov had taken possession of. When I commented to a Board Director of CBRE that this was "steering" (and illegal) he went into full on defense spin about the work "steering" whihc is a major no no in real estate.— December 12, 2011 10:45 a.m.
