Goodell Shuts Door on NFL Teams Moving
The NFL has no legal authority to stop a team from moving. Al Davis proved that in spades in 1982 when he took the Raiders to LA. BTW-the Oakland/Alameda Coliseum venue had sold out for the previous 20 years, he was making bundles of $$$ in Oakland but wanted more.— February 3, 2012 1:41 p.m.
Buyouts Didn’t Help U-T and Petco
Companies that have had their taxes cut, through CG or other means have been the ones most likely to move their manufacturing overseas. Sorry, but the majority of our manufacturing jobs, the literal backbone of the country, have been moved overseas or across the border. It is now too late. The game is over. How else can you explain a 5 year depression with no end in sight?— February 3, 2012 8:53 a.m.
Gaylord Entertainment to Return to Chula Vista?
The PLA's were a MAJOR reason they stopped. I read the letter and it indicates that was not the case, but I am sure it was a large part of the reason- notwithstanding that letter.— February 3, 2012 8:50 a.m.
Emails Show Snapdragon Deal Left Key Financial Official in the Dark
As former SDPD Chief KFC Sanders thinks the law does not apply to him, he is special.— February 2, 2012 9:57 p.m.
Gaylord Entertainment to Return to Chula Vista?
They're crazy to come back to CV after all the problems they had the first go round. If I owned that company I would not set foot in CV. Reminds me of a commercial real estate deal I tried to put together in CV about 20 years ago that required a variance use permit and the dork city planners tried to extract 450 feet of free sidewalk in return for a permit that would have brought 20 good jobs to the city and should have been free.— February 2, 2012 9:54 p.m.
Emails Show Snapdragon Deal Left Key Financial Official in the Dark
So you're an interested party directly benefiting from Jacobs. That explains your position.— February 2, 2012 7:08 p.m.
Back to My Groupie Days...
If U-2 opened for J Giels in 83 then that was the time I saw them, if not and it was earlier in 82 when I saw them then maybe I heard "I Will Follow". Like I said, it has been close to 3 decades, I thought it was NYD and thought that was their first US hit but I will Follow was their first charted hit in the USA.— February 2, 2012 3:09 p.m.
Back to My Groupie Days...
I have the ticket stubb from all my events/shows/concerts too, need to find it.— February 2, 2012 10:33 a.m.
