Donna Frye muses on San Diego strong mayor and district elections
5.She will always be "Mayor Frye" to me. == Uncrowned Mayor for sure. Although I hated her idea of her raising the sales tax to pay the million dollar city pensions.....— February 7, 2012 1:25 a.m.
Lawyer for Duke's Wife Disbarred
Just looked up Dukes release date-June 2013-so he is close to being done with his 8 year 8 month sentence.— February 7, 2012 1:13 a.m.

I will say this-DeMaio is the ONLY elected official who is not giving away the store to public employees in return for $$$$$ contributed. I take no position on his business leadership or anything else, but give him great kudos for taking on the biggest problem facing our city/county/state/country today-undue influence from big business, public unions and big $$$. I think Big Business and public unions are the greatest threat facing our country today.— February 7, 2012 1:11 a.m.
Buyouts Didn’t Help U-T and Petco
William O. Douglas was a very fine justice on the SCOTUS. He had many very good opinions, and I think he stands up there with the best of them. I once interviewed famed lawyer Gerry Spence and when I asked him who he admired and was his favorite justice to sit on the SCOTUS he said it was Douglas. I would go with Earl Warren by a country mile.— February 7, 2012 1:05 a.m.
Back to My Groupie Days...
I need to find my ticket stub from that conceret-it may have been I will Follow they sang-I knew the song from the radio and it was the only tune that U2 had that was on the radio. They have had so many hits since it is unreal. And they are still performing, 30 plus years later, so they really have been a great rock band...— February 7, 2012 1 a.m.
Back to My Groupie Days...
All I know is U2 had a major hit, just one, when I saw them, and they rocked it bigtime. J Giels was awesome also, but U2 has gone on to heights never seen by J Geils!— February 6, 2012 5:11 p.m.
A Guide to Ralph Inzunza's Life in Prison
OMG, no wonder they call it Club-Fed. This place is awesome! BIG difference between "county time" and Club Fed time! The new inmates in "local prison", aka county jails-hate it because it has nothing even close to this, just lock down time in a cell 17 hours a day.— February 6, 2012 4:53 p.m.
Lawyer for Duke's Wife Disbarred
It took multiple criminal acts and two years before Patricia Gregory was charged with a crime, and that was a miracle. Don't expect much.— February 6, 2012 9:21 a.m.
Dig a Hole: Ben Gazzara
Roadhouse is a great show IMO. It is a movie that did fair at the Box Office but developed a cult like following (much like Al Pacino's Scarface) on TV. I love Roadhouse and have seen it numerous times. Musician Jeff Healy played a big part of the show and was another reason it reasonates witrh me. Convicts 4 is an awesome film, it was filmed in black and white which to me makes it even more appealing to me. If you have not seen it I recommend it.— February 5, 2012 9:01 p.m.
