Escondido Man Photographed Teen Under Bathroom Door
I DONT THINK THE JUDGE CAN FORCE HIM ONTO SEX OFFENDER REGISTRY UNDER THESE CONVICTIONS. I think if he is not forced to register he will be retried on the felony kiddie porn beef, and the loser deserves to be retried. Is he in custody????— May 17, 2012 9:04 p.m.
Carlsbad Cop Makes a Plea Deal
I agree with you 100%, he is getting a sweetheart deal. Judge Lagotto has not sentenced him yet-but presumably this deal was hammered out with her, the prosecutor and the defense attorney and this IS the deal the cop will get. And YES, anyone else would have been in either County or the pen.— May 17, 2012 9:01 p.m.
Carlsbad Cop Makes a Plea Deal
Koch expects to get a “suspended sentence” of 180 days custody and 3 years probation and will enter a “drug program,” according to documents. ...Koch has been free on his own recognizance; There should be at least SOME jail time on ALL felony charges, especially burglary which can be charged as a striek offiense. He is getting special treatment, because he is a cop/gov employee when he should be treated the same as everyone else, if not more harshly for his position of trust as a cop. And an OR release when he was charged with multiple felonies is just more evidence of the system being gamed and manipulated by insiders.— May 17, 2012 1:51 p.m.

Occupy Sweetwater Activist Cleared of Allegations Made by Boardmember

Occupy Sweetwater Activist Cleared of Allegations Made by Boardmember
McCann was represented by an attorney at the hearing. According to a May 10 U-T report, “Sweetwater superintendent Ed Brand approved the legal expense. He said the affair may cost the school district around $2,400 in attorney’s fees for McCann.” Brand HAS TO GO, that $2400 should come right out of his fat butt. I have never in my life heard of a $2400 charge for a RO which are done pro se 99.9999% of the time.— May 14, 2012 2:43 p.m.
