Knife-Attack Survivor Featured on TV Series
Yes, the sentence was pretty light, but on the good side I dont think there are good time custody credits, or not much. I know there isn't for murder and many serious crimes the good time credits are only 15% instead of 50%, so he is going to do some serious time....I doubt he will get paroled on the first go round.— July 13, 2012 4:37 p.m.
Bridgepoint's Ashford Denied Accreditation; Stock Plummets
Visduh, the entire upper levels of the DoE, and WASC, are appointees, by the President, who appoints student loan industry yes men and yahoo's, so the lenders are going to get whatever they want. SL's today are no different than "debtors prisons" of last century.— July 13, 2012 1:19 p.m.
San Bernardino Council Votes for Bankruptcy
I think teachers get a good, not great, pension, the average teacher retires with full benefits at age 58, very close to the 50, 55, 60 that state and local muni employees retire at. They have bullet proof job security which is worth a 30%-50% premium on wages IMO. They are never laid off or fired after the first 5 years, that is never seen in the private sector today..........— July 13, 2012 1:17 p.m.
San Bernardino Council Votes for Bankruptcy
I have said from the get go Thomas has NO place on the SCOTUS, and that is a fact. Scalia, who has an ego like DOnald Trump, can make some very well written and intelligent decisions, but his ego gets in the way some of the time, as we saw in the Obamacare dissent, where he made personal attacks on Obama. Alito, nothing special, Roberts lied to get appointed, he said he was only going to call balls and strikes, not try to run the game, he is definitely trying to run the game.— July 13, 2012 1:14 p.m.

State Suspends Portions Of Brown Act
Brown gave out 5% raises to the prison guards-I'm not voting for any tax increase so gov employees can get COLA's triple the inflation rate......nor will anyone else.....— July 13, 2012 12:48 p.m.
Property Tax Rolls Shrink $568 Million
I think under valued peroperties that haver had a ***reduction**** can have the values raised more than 2%— July 13, 2012 12:47 p.m.
San Bernardino Council Votes for Bankruptcy
We are always going to disagree on the teacher compensation issue.......— July 13, 2012 12:48 a.m.
San Bernardino Council Votes for Bankruptcy
Maybe, the SCOTUS should take a hard look at it-but they are also unpredictable, as we saw in Obamacare and Roberts jumping sides (shocking to me in every sense).— July 13, 2012 12:47 a.m.
San Bernardino Council Votes for Bankruptcy
Yes, the CF, RI pension cuts were progressive, as they certainly should be, it is not the $20K-$40K ones BK'ing the system, it is the so called public safety where there were guys receiving in retirement 3 times more than their highest wages working.— July 12, 2012 1:22 p.m.
