Lil' Pimping
Oh Erin, that was the biggest smack down EVER!!! The only problem is the article is a joke, satire....... bringing the funny..........although I must say, bringing the funny with child prostitution may have crossed the line-Walter! Carry on Erin, I want you on MY SIDE!— October 5, 2012 7:54 p.m.
Gross vehicular manslaughter
He got off easy. There is NO excuse for driving drunk today. Maybe 30 years ago- before Candy Lightner and MADD, but not today.— October 5, 2012 7:44 p.m.
Man sentenced for sex with 12-year-old-girl
Generally speaking the the 4019 half time custody credits do NOT apply to any sex offenses (or murder). I believe sex offenses MUST serve 85% of their sentences. The wild card is I think that since he was sentenced to county instead of the state pen the credits may apply. I think in County all offenses get half time 4019 credits. But not 100% sure on that. 12 y/o is 7th grade, that is very young, but w/o seeing her it is hard to tell if she looked that young...BUT, if the website required you to be 18 y/o he had some what of a decent defense. Do you got to trial with that defense and risk 15 years int he state pen, or do the deal??? Being required to regerster as a sex offender would be worth the risk for trial imo.— October 5, 2012 7:42 p.m.

The Neighborhood Watch
**surfpuppy619, I was involved with the antiwar movement while I was at Berkeley, late 60's and early 70's. Very involved. I can guarantee you that I was subjected to more " police, gov or "neighborhood watch" misconduct ", including physical, than you could fathom...** I don't know about that.......I can fathom quite a lot.... I cannot recall the class act quote form Dirty Harry, only the "..do you feel lucky, will do ya punk", and" Make my day".— October 5, 2012 2:26 p.m.
UCAN Demands Shames Return $474,000 in Bonuses
I never copy and paste, if I do I say so, I also have spell check, have had it for months now, but only use it 25% fo the time (and still words are missed).— October 5, 2012 2:23 p.m.

San Diego water bill outrage
The article didn't state that her husband turned the water back on himself, just that it was turned back on. But the question is NOT that she made a mistake. Everyone makes mistakes. The question is should a public utility be allowed to have unreasonable policies, both financial and for sustenance of living angle, when honest people make a mistake. I think not. I don't think she is trying to claim she didn't make a mistake, only that the reaction was unwarranted. I agree with her.— October 5, 2012 2:20 p.m.
While tax hike vote looms, UCSD's "Travel and Entertainment Team" seeks $72,000 assistant
No such thing as a "temporary tax". And Clown wants it for a whopping 7 years, yet has NO PLAN to account for any future funding once the tax supposedly stops. We already had this "temporarytax", and it ended 3 years ago- and was defeated at the ballot box when they tried to extended it-Props 1a-1g. There is no reason tothink this would be nothing more than a forever tax.— October 5, 2012 9:58 a.m.
