Your SDGE bill may be going up 7.7%
We don't allow anymore power plants; in fact we are closing San Onofre. Guess what? Supply and demand. This trend will continue. Blaming the service provider is asinine.— March 30, 2013 7:10 p.m.
Papa Doug's son says he is for same-sex marriage
All of these "I don't believe in gay marriage" bigots are on the wrong side of history.— March 22, 2013 12:43 a.m.
Remember Blackwater? Documents reveal it was a CIA extension
Firms like this are hired by all sorts of Federal agencies. President Obama and Secretary Clinton had them on the payroll and said they were necessary. And they aint mercenaries.— March 15, 2013 12:40 a.m.
Golf ranks high on Hueso's special interest gift list
Isn't this the same guy that spent $1,500 of his campaign money on a one night fancy hotel and dinner package in LA for his brother?— March 5, 2013 11 a.m.
Southwestern College trustee resigns in protest
I informed you thusly. After tonight's board mtg it turns out that the fuss is all about union jobs after all. So much for education being at the forefront of priorities at our schools.— March 4, 2013 11:46 p.m.
Southwestern College trustee resigns in protest
You're wrong again. Wake up. It's about budgets and protecting jobs. Jobs. Union jobs. There's a lot of dead wood at SWC and not a lot of money to keep subsidizing the poor performing employees. Writing is in the wall that it may be necessary to let the underperforming employees go due to budget issues. Well by golly the unions just can't allow that to happen! So the character assassination of President Nish begins with gusto. With the union employees leading the charge.— March 3, 2013 10:57 a.m.
Southwestern College trustee resigns in protest
Oskidoll, I'm not blaming anything on the unions. I'm merely pointing out the fact that the unions generally run SWC for the benefit of the employees (and trades) and not with a focus on education and the students. And when the union flunkies like George Stewart and Larry Lambert et al don't get absolute control, they stomp off and rant like adolescents.— March 3, 2013 10:18 a.m.
Southwestern College trustee resigns in protest
Now the long knives come out from the unions to go after the new college president. Look, Stewart was/is a union flunky. Most of the other board members are also union hacks. They really think that schools exist for the employees instead of the students. 99% of the negative comments you hear about Nish are coming from union hacks and their associates. Take the school away from the union employees and give it back to the students!— March 3, 2013 9:08 a.m.
First sentencing in South Bay corruption scandal
The corruption at SWC continues. Union hacks and union puppets dominate the board of trustees and the Prop R oversight board. Bad news for those concerned about actual education.— March 2, 2013 8:21 p.m.
California brothers found dead in Mexicali
No country for young men.— February 21, 2013 5:56 a.m.
