Dollars and nonsense in Chula Vista
Oh, and Susan, I do not think splitting up the city is feasible or wise. I don't think that idea would get much traction.— November 11, 2014 7:07 p.m.
Dollars and nonsense in Chula Vista
If you look on that map graphic, just west of the text "La Media Rd" was supposed to be a large community recreation park similar to Montevalle. Has that been deleted now too? If so, who approved that?— November 11, 2014 2:08 p.m.
Dollars and nonsense in Chula Vista
Mary Salas and Pamela Bensoussan have long been in the pocket of developers. Salas even took thousand$ from corruption linked construction company Seville. And do any of our council members live east of the 805? Or SR125? East CV is simply revenue for their pet projects. Time for a split?— November 11, 2014 9:11 a.m.
U-T publisher and wife slip late cash to DeMaio
Still doesn't make up for all the other "news" papers blatantly promoting Peters throughout the campaign (and still calling themselves 'journalists').— November 8, 2014 8:34 p.m.
Expensive race card
More and more often the screams of "racism!" are akin to the boy who cried wolf.— November 7, 2014 10:30 a.m.
It takes a Village card room…
Follow the money.....>Pearl Quinones.— November 3, 2014 10:06 a.m.
It takes a Village card room…
It's no secret that Luzzaro's husband was a union officer in the CVESD and her daughter is a current one. Son-in-law is also a SUHSD union activist. The Luzzaro family battles against Cheryl Cox go back at least a decade. That someone claiming to be a journalist would use a "news" platform to fight family battles is unprofessional at best.— October 31, 2014 11:26 p.m.
It takes a Village card room…
The incessant smear articles by Ms Luzzaro against Mayor Cox are telling. Luzzaro is not a journalist, but a political activist. One thing very interesting about Luzzaro's hit list: it's almost exclusively Caucasians she writes negative articles about. For those of you that wait for stories by Luzzaro as if they were gospel, wake up, she's extremely biased and out with an agenda. Shame on the Reader for employing this non-journalism and calling it news.— October 31, 2014 9:01 a.m.
Long way from Chesapeake Bay
Another seafood company to lookout for is Southwind dba Great American Seafood. They are located in Vernon, Ca, a tiny industrial city near LA. The packaging is covered in American flags, but the products are from China, and often mislabeled according to the FDA.— October 27, 2014 1:14 p.m.
Good ol' boys' and girls' club
There is a whole slate of candidates chosen by the union bosses in a back room. They have all the campaign money they need to win. And their priority lies with the employees - Not the students, parents, or taxpayers. Crooked union hacks like Frank Tarantino have left a trail of destruction through our schools for far too long.— October 25, 2014 11:02 a.m.
