Rubber chicken master assumes city hall throne
Just because she's not a Leftist pawn doesn't mean she's a DINO.— December 12, 2014 9:55 p.m.
Retired lobbyist
Isn't Humberto Peraza (South Bay) also an elected official, registered lobbyist, and officer of the SD Democratic Party?— December 11, 2014 1:05 p.m.
Funky’s opposite
Hey Dave, you in any talks with CV about filling vacant seat?— December 9, 2014 3:40 p.m.
Lost the election, won the plum
I don't see anything interesting or wrong with this.— December 9, 2014 2:03 p.m.
Funky’s opposite
Woodchuck, I didn't know the CV RV park was being closed. Last I heard it's just moving. And in IB, Palm Ave (in City of San Diego) is already a complete mess, and David Alvarez has done little to help Nestor, Palm City, Egger Highlands with dense traffic problems.— December 9, 2014 12:16 p.m.
Attorney Mike Aguirre sues CityBeat for libel
I don't like Citybeat because the articles read like a bad high school newspaper. But Aguirre is a jerk (in my opinion) and I hope he loses.— December 5, 2014 8:56 p.m.
Blow out
Lorena Gonzalez and Ben Hueso are so corrupt it's not even funny.— November 21, 2014 7:28 p.m.
Ed's gone, but this Sweetwater shenanigan isn't
One of the many results of SUHSD breaking the law with regard to Mello-Roos money. The District keeps raising Mello-Roos taxes disingenuously and using Mello-Roos taxpayers as a cash cow for all sorts of illegal shenanigans. On that topic, keep an eye on Nick Segura who campaigned on a plan to move (illegally) Mello-Roos dollars out of their Community Facilities Districts (CFD) into other parts of the SUHSD. The shenanigans will continue until a lawsuit is brought by the taxpayers.— November 20, 2014 4:55 a.m.
How CityBeaten thinks
CB loves to chastise other publications for taking political stands, and then their entire staff of bloggers (they don't have journalists) take blatant vociferous sides in political campaigns. It's a complete joke.— November 18, 2014 7:12 a.m.
Dollars and nonsense in Chula Vista
Why not an underground trolley? If Seattle and San Francisco can do it certainly we can. Just need determination to get the federal funds.— November 12, 2014 12:05 p.m.
