I say, Doctor, what say you of this Botanical Impossibility?
From cougars to parrots :)— September 27, 2009 10:46 p.m.
None
Mindy, I'd like to say a couple of things, if you'll read on. Firstly, when I posted your comment about not meeting MJ in April on your recent MJ blog, it was not in the hopes of seeing you break down in this way--if I correctly interpret what's happening here with the 'hope chest.' Honestly, your own philosophy about sex and fictional rendez-vous was already out there for all to read, and I figured you'd be laughing, too--or at the least, it would roll right off your back. If posting your spoiler comment hurt your feelings to again--the extent I interpret here--I'm truly sorry. As for the whole issue around Michael Jackson, anyone reading this blog can see that it is full of pain and ambivalence for you, and clearly one of the most important symbolic, if not veritable, experiences of your life. I used to be an imaginative girl falling in love at the drop of a hat, and had painful crushes on fictional entities too--right into my early twenties. The freedom that comes with letting obsession go, and embracing your creativity to the fullest you can, is of incalculable worth. You have probably already come to that realization at some point, and I'm not saying I've mastered any of it, but have felt the fresh breeze of one's late thirties cross my face, and it is delicious. There is so much much more to life, and perhaps letting the dark content go off on the truck along with the chest was exactly what you needed. Be well :) SD.— September 27, 2009 9:38 p.m.
My Entirely Fictional Affair With Liza Minnelli - Part One
AG: "They're interesting folks. You should get to know some." I don't check people's peepees before getting to know them! :) Sorry I didn't really look hard for the answer on JL Curtis--liked that the prof had to remove the reference, and the ultimate inconclusivity of it. :)— September 27, 2009 8:55 p.m.
Chick Lit
We don't need any more like this guy, SurfP. Bo-ring. Funnier are probably the key phrases on Amazon for this book: Key Phrases: old redneck, random girl, Married Girl, Baby Dolls... Hey Fishy, probably P&P. I would also disagree with "Benjamin" above, who thinks Edward Abbey's Monkey Wrench Gang is a great read. That book is pretty bad. Desert Solitaire, on the other hand, has beautiful imagery and style.— September 27, 2009 8:50 p.m.

Yes, I have, AG. You once directed me to a site with a photo--'member? My guess is that Pike is around our age.— September 27, 2009 8:26 p.m.
