Ok, so that won't work--I exaggerated on the paperwork--it can be done in a sitting, in office or hospital. CMS sucks anyway, and they don't want to give you anything unless you are dying in a hospital bed. Better to pay the 200 clams and get a private consult. I'd do it. I know what you mean, but wouldn't spend another day unhappy, doing nothing about it. My two cents. LOVE that song. Hee hee. Pee pee joke and a teepee.— October 2, 2009 10:47 p.m.
Enter the Exit Poll
"...for your reading pleasure, I will introduce you to what will be now known as the Exit Polls. These will be random conversations, what people are drunkenly laughing at or screaming as they leave both the restaurant and the bar, and there may be times where I will instigate a blog entry." Interesting concept--look forward to it.— October 2, 2009 9:50 p.m.

Pete, it's good to look at things holistically, but..well, unless you have another, more serious autoimmune condition attendant to the psoriasis, you should probably just proceed with dealing with this issue--get at least two opinions--and by all means, tell the docs about the psoriasis.— October 2, 2009 9:38 p.m.

"90% psychological..." Good job, Pete. You are not only open to all possibilities, you are willing to do what it takes to figure it out. Humans are complex bundles of both physical and psychological 'nerves'--it is tough to figure out the pathways and percentages of what's one or the other. Some ideas you may or may not have considered: First of all, if your bank account can't be traced, you can get on CMS (County Medical Services). This means free treatment, though you have to fill out a lot of paperwork. The other option would be to pay out of pocket for a consultation with a specialist. $200 or so will get you a comprehensive consult and exam. At the least, you will be in a better position to understand your condition right now (because health issues change), and your next step. It might be worth it to go this route, as CMS is nuts and bolts care, and may not give you access to the specialists you need...— October 2, 2009 9:35 p.m.

Excellent advice in #16, AG. UCSD is a great medical group for internists.— October 2, 2009 8:21 p.m.

"Had I not been caught for my armed robbery,I would've gone to North Carolina and shot him dead." PP, I thought about doing this to two victimizers over my lifetime. Very glad neither of us chose to do this. :) I will say, not to draw attention away from you but in the interests of showing support and understanding through disclosure: Due to similar, longterm abuse, I had a bedwetting problem right into my mid-teens. There may be a psychological explanation to add to this--it is a way to defer control issues to a physical symptom, which articulates the psychic pain and out-of-controlness in a more manageable way. Keep writing out whatever you need to! We are listening.— October 2, 2009 8:18 p.m.
