He Got A Nobel Why?
gardenparty observed: "I voted for him and he's not even 1/4 of the way thru a first term, but as someone said above, it's an uphill battle. I haven't scene any sign of bipartisan politics yet and that's disappointing. We'll see how the next 3 yrs go." Truly. We also need to keep this .25 of the way in mind--my fingers are crossed, too :)— October 9, 2009 11:45 p.m.

Pete aphorized: "Like the song sings"If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything"......" Not necessarily. I am very careful about what I buy--and this encourages further thoughtful analysis, of my own motivations and potential biases. I have found the opposite to be much more the norm--people seem to need to commit to one ideological stance, and let anything colored by it filter through. Anything of a different shade or shades does not absorb. I'll look at #44 links when weekend is over--'busy, busy, busy' :)— October 9, 2009 11:42 p.m.
He Got A Nobel Why?
SurfPuppy marveled: "Why would you possibly be up at that hour??????" I have been really sick and fell behind on work. It has taken some all-nighters to catch up. I tend to be up too late in the last six months, and would rather rise with the sun rather than wake with it setting. Right now I figure I'd acclimate to just about any international time change! :(— October 9, 2009 11:36 p.m.

re: #11: "He's a major star in the Latin world and he earns a fortune starring in many Latin televison shows." Burwell follows Estrada's career! Now we know what he does when he isn't recommending death camps for people who visit establishments where alcohol is served). :)— October 9, 2009 11:27 p.m.
Plug In, Plump Up
"I never bought a pet rock, and I can't wait to buy an electric car. Think how bitchin' music would sound in one of those." It DOES, russl--so quiet! Way better than with a pet rock :)— October 9, 2009 10:32 p.m.

"... kind of like a disfunctional family holiday, no offense to anyone I mentioned." Hahahahaha! None taken on my part, gardenparty :)— October 9, 2009 10:31 p.m.

PS: If you think Sean Hannity 'nailed' anyone, you've got to update your opinion of nailing :)— October 9, 2009 10:27 p.m.

Pete said: "the fleecing,by Democrats,of Freddie Mac & Fannie May." ????!!!!! In what sense do you mean "fleecing?"— October 9, 2009 10:24 p.m.

re: #35--agreed! :) re: #37 Talk about deeply humbling! I was still up around 3:30am-4am, and heard about it from the pundits apparently before Obama did! :)— October 9, 2009 8:34 p.m.
