I disagree with your characterization of the "bros" as having thicker skin than the "gals," since you've placed it in those arbitrary terms. I think that people are pretty much the same, and people who make a habit of tossing out the most ludicrous insults with little to no provocation probably have skin a bit thinner than most, yes? I have never taken a hammer to Pete. I have responded to issues of bigotry when I've seen them, and have fairly defended myself against personal attacks, something of which I see you, refried, do a fair amount for yourself. I have also stood up for you many times when people have unfairly criticized you--forget? Nope, things don't have to be so serious. But no one single person among us makes all the rules, either, and people have a right to defend themselves. You have multiple times told Pete not to worry about it, when I am the party wronged. Two things: 1. Don't you find it a "tad" distasteful as well as arbitrary to make that observation about female blog commenters in particular? 2. Yeah, you should butt out. It is between me and Pete, and has nothing to do with a free speech issue.
