Bonus Blog: Adam Lambert on the AMAs
#26 No infiltration required. This blog is part of the public domain right? And, last time I checked, support of gay causes wasn't made mandatory yet was it? Ummmm...no. Whether it would be Lady Gaga with Madanna or Adam Lambert with Clay Aiken, I don't think it should be on GMA. You do. I don't. CBS does. ABC doesn't. This is still America right? Or does freedom of choice only apply to a woman's fetus now?— November 24, 2009 12:20 p.m.
Bonus Blog: Adam Lambert on the AMAs
Ummm..as far as I know, Madonna kissed Britany on the MTV awards show, or maybe it was the AMERICAN MUSIC awards show. But in any event, it didn't happen in the morning. And dont be upset; CBS has gone ahead and picked him up to be on their morning show. These stars have no "RIGHT" to perform on a given show; they are guests. And if ABC doesn't want him on their show, then so what? He's on CBS instead. Its called a "free market place" for a reason. And if CBS gets better ratings than ABC does, then good...— November 24, 2009 12:14 p.m.

I just did...to praise them. Good move on GMA's part. Besides, if you think about it, the controversy will be good for him because its clear that is part of his 'game'. There are plenty of shows on MTV or BET where that kind of perfomance should be. But not on morning network tv, no way. GMA finally does the right thing.— November 24, 2009 noon
Bonus Blog: Adam Lambert on the AMAs
Adam Lambert, and David Cook for that matter, even Archaletta, should never have been on that show. I just watched a DVD of THE TEN COMMANDMENTS made several years ago starring Val Kilmer. Co-starring ADAM LAMBERT. I am glad CHRIS did win. Not because he is more talented than Lambert, no one would say he it, but because he was actually from 'nowhere' where as Lambert was already in Broadway shows, and made for DVD plays (the above mentioned Commandments) AI is a joke because it allows these performers who already have their feet in the door to even compete. And when some unknown (like even Clay Aiken) nearly wins, or wins (Chris) I'm all for it. Its like when a small market team wins the World Series against the big spenders. For that reason, I'm glad CHRIS did win. He represents what AI claims to be; a show where people from nowhere have a chance. Now..having said that, I hope Lambert has a good career. But I do not think he is a better singer than David Cook. A better screamer? Yes. But his over-the-top antics will catch up with him as Boy George's did him. People will tire of it; look at Prince.— November 23, 2009 10:40 p.m.

Clay Aiken? Are you serious? And yes, David Cook. Dude can sing. Maybe he doesn't scream as loud as Adam, but Cook's first album was pretty good. IMO of course. To each their own.. but come on...Clay "WHERE IS HE NOW" Aiken?— November 23, 2009 10:10 p.m.

sorry.. That AMERICAN MUSIC awards show was absolutely awful. Dreadful. All the women, from Underwood to Key's second song, were pretty much the same song ANd terrible. GAGA at least showed some kind of 'texture' with her second song at the piano. The rest of the show was an attack on the ears and music in general. Whitney Houston; it was sad to watch her. Wish they would have shown BOBBY BROWN's response to her dribble. If this was the best of today's music, oye. Bring back the 70s!! It was that bad! And sorry, Surfpuppy, Adam Lambert's screaming isn't going to sell. I bet his album tanks. And I thought he would, after last season, beat them all..not now. He blew chunks..but so did the rest of the show he was on. And I waited THREE HOURS for Adam's crappy finale...It was Terrible, as Charles Barkley would say— November 23, 2009 7:20 p.m.

I like Adam, but I think David Cook has the stronger voice. Adam can scream, but so what? His notes come of light sometimes. Cook, I think, sings better and is more accessable to mainstream audiences, which isn't 'hip' with the majority of the Reader's readers, but I don't care. Rob— November 23, 2009 6:23 p.m.

Mothers
Hey Karen, I know what you mean. Three years ago, right about now, my mom had just found out she had stomach cancer, and she was dead three months later. It is this time of the year, holidays and all, that I think of her a lot. My father passed away just over a month ago, and now we are dealing with that. But he was never the same once she passed away, and pretty much let go in the last years of his life. Really makes you sit back and enjoy the times with your own children. It's almost as if time is a fire in which we all will burn. So, enjoy it while you can.— November 23, 2009 12:31 p.m.

#2 Thank you, I think. My wife likes Nicholas Cage too. And, unfortunately, most of his movies are free via Netflix streaming. She is the one guy she admitted she would leave me for. Gotta admire her honesty!— November 23, 2009 12:28 p.m.
