As long as one does not threaten to harm,slander or libel someone,everything is kosher. If Josh had said in this alleged E-mail,"You mother smells like sweaty socks,your dog is a fat piece of s*** and I hate your whole family",there's nothing you could do. However,if Josh wrote something along the lines of"I'll kill your family,skullf** your dog and your mother is a man",then you might be able to persue some sort of legal action. I find it completely hilarious that the blog is entitled On The Subject Of Hate Speech yet CuddleFish doesn't want to talk about freedom of speech. They go hand in hand. In America,you CANNOT talk about hate speech without talking about freedom of speech. You can however talk about freedom of speech without talking about hatespeech. Why is that? As for the debate I was having with SD on hate crimes,here's why people get pissed about hate crime law. This country says it's a land of equal men. That's a standard principle in the bedrock of our country. ALL men are created equal. By legislating that one person's skin color is more important than anothers,we're not only demanding reverse discrimination we're going against the bedrock principle thereby making a mockery of the entire hate crime legislation. People are pissed not because they're racist. They're pissed because they see the hypocrisy of it all. They're pissed because they see minorities playing both sides of the field and whining and crying when they don't get it. I'll come right out and say it-I HATE special interest groups. hey don't deserve s***! If that makes me a racist in your warped mind,then so be it. It used to be that immigrants came here hell or high water and assimilated themselves into the culture. They used to work HARD to get ahead. Now they whine and stomp their feet till the bleeding hearts cave in. It makes me sick thinking that my forefathers are probably rolling in their graves right now over this. Also,I'd like to point out that refried has schooled you time and time again,CuddleFish but you just don't get it. You sit there on your high horse acting all smug by ignoring me when in reality you look like a f***in' idiot! Thanks. That's where I got them. I still had to go season by season and write down all the wins and losses. Took me damn near forever. But hey! It's the work I'll go through to make fun of the Chargeless! ;-D No need to thank me...LMAO! A little while ago I also tried breaking down the W/L percentages between each team,division and conference but the percentages I was coming up with didn't make a whole lot of sense so I scrapped it. I'm sure people can get a pretty good picture by looking at this handy-dandy reference chart. :-D Overall,my problem isn't really with the team itself. The team is fine. It's a strugling ex-cellar dweller. Can't fault a team for tryin,right? My beef is with the fans. They all scream"The Gaydars,Queefs and Donkeys are our bitches!!!!!" Ummmm....no. No they're not. My stats prove it. The only teams with a losing record Vs. the Chargeless are: The Bills,the Jets,the Bengals,the Browns,the Texans,The Colts,the Titans,the Lions,the Cardinals,the Eagles,the Buccaneers and the Saints. He does make a good point,SP. I'm living proof of a fat,lazy American. I take pride in that fact only because it's ultimately up to me to lose weight and this country allows me the ability to lose or gain weight as I see fit. Americans are pretty much either overweight or get too much plastic surgery. All one has to do is go to their local Wally World or open the Reader to find this out. Europeans have got us beat in a number of things. However,we will always have them beat when it comes to our freedoms and quality of life overall. Fred also brings up a good point on Americans being so lazy that they're willing to allow those same freedoms that men and women have died for throught our 233 year old history.
