Moving Along
I am clueless. H.B. Mendicoff? Great clip!! (Guests: Who was that guy? Does anyone know him?) Off to soul-suck. They are already lined-up outside my door. Only six more working days.......— November 18, 2009 7:16 a.m.

XX is in Trouble
I fight the good fight and anyone - AND I MEAN ANYONE - who is serious about joining me is welcome. You have no idea how hard it is to be what is scathingly referred to now as a "feminist". I am not some man-hater. My husband loves me. He read the articles in the rag referred to above and was outraged. His mom is a 30 year breast cancer survivor.— November 17, 2009 10:57 p.m.
Moving Along
FYI: Vodka drinker as well. Hat's off for all you (and you KNOW who you are) ones who are ready to jump on the typo - it is hat is off. Refried - where does he live? I grew up in upstate NY and I swear there was no shortage of places for kids to explore. You are gonna feel like a kid again anywhere you go east of SoCA.— November 17, 2009 10:36 p.m.
XX is in Trouble
I hate to jump on my feminist platform here, but I really do not see men's health being affected as radically as women's. Every time I open a paper, I never see "Prostate Cancer Screening Seen as Drain" or "Men Less Likely to Experience Death when Given Less Testing Due to it Being Less Stressful". Why aren't more women stepping up to the plate? We pay an ENORMOUS amount of money for health insurance. Why do we allow these fat old white haired billy-goats jurisdiction over our health care?— November 17, 2009 10:27 p.m.

Amazing stuff (sung to the tune of "Amazing Grace") the tequila, that is. That's a great picture. And hat's off to your dad's speedy recovery!!— November 17, 2009 10:01 p.m.
It Gets Worse
Anti - if you have not already, read my earlier blog posted this morning.— November 17, 2009 9:51 p.m.
It Gets Worse
S***, I don't know what to believe anymore. I am consistently astonished at how much women's healthcare is regarded as a drain on the "system", because we need more than men. My point above was this morning I picked up the paper and read about breast cancer screening basically being another drain, and then coming home from work to finish the paper and encountering the above assault I wrote about. IN THE SAME PAPER ON THE SAME DAY AND THEN THE ENSUING ARTICLE BEING ABOUT HOW TO TAKE BETTER CARE OF OURSELVES STARTING AT AGE 20!! Which led to my synopsis: "So, if we don't do the recommended testing because the powers that be tell us we are "adding to health care costs" and we die anyway because they told us we should be tested annually (off the record), it's our own damn fault." I know they don't give a rat's ass about us. But I do. P.S. You are so lucky not to have a paper like the Trib. I hate it with every fiber of my being, but it is all we have.— November 17, 2009 9:48 p.m.

Wow. Wow. Perfect food, flawed family. I love it. It is the same everywhere, with every family, no matter how different.— November 17, 2009 8:51 p.m.
Feeding the Beast
SD, you nailed it. They have nothing better to do. I knew a woman who sued every company she ever worked for. She asked me to submit her resume to my company to work for our human resources department. I threw it in the trash. It's a sickness, a need to "win" because they always feel as if they have been somehow slighted. Vexatious litigants are vexing, at best. ANTI - Where do you find this stuff?!? I love that kitty, and she is my new mascot for EVERYTHING!! BRING IT!!!— November 17, 2009 8:43 p.m.
