Sweetwater chaos reaches Judge España’s court
Oldcharles, I do not understand how you attack Brand and McCann on this issue they are doing the right thing how absurd to say who gave them the right to bring in Winet they are trying to get this judge to follow the law. Quit being so intent to attack them the 2 Board members in question should be your target.— May 11, 2014 7:09 a.m.
Sweetwater chaos reaches Judge España’s court
Espana should be removed from the case she did not research the statues properly, if I were to bet her law clerk did the work and didn't know what she was doing. How many other mistakes in the case did that law clerk make. These 2 board members should immediately resign so the healing can begin, but they won't so they can get their monthly stipends and medical benefits this is not about the good of the Sweetwater District.— May 9, 2014 4:35 p.m.
School officials Gandara and Sandoval plead guilty
Anneij, your comments are exactly what I am talking about, it doesn't matter how she is voting. She knew the rules and broke the law that is clear. She is no better than the rest of them, if you and some of the the others want to "clean up the board" she must go if she pleads, if she is innocent then go to trial and have her peers judge her. Remember one bad apple who would be left could spoil the future.— April 7, 2014 7:40 a.m.
School officials Gandara and Sandoval plead guilty
If Cartmill and Lopez plead to misdemeanors will this group call for their immediate resignation. My understanding board policy at sweetwater requires it. Or will the special interests of this group only want Carmills head.— April 6, 2014 2:42 p.m.
School officials Gandara and Sandoval plead guilty
Sentencing up to now has not been very harsh however if what I have read Sandoval and Gandara used their position to enrich themselves along with Ricasa and Quiones. From what I read these were the only 4 who actually received cash whether it was to pay for internships or pay professional fees or beauty pagents for their daughters. I hope Judge Espana remembers that when she sentences them. As for Cartmill and Lopez they both should resign they received gifts and did not report them and voted for the contracts, they to are a disgrace.— April 5, 2014 11:56 a.m.
Ed talks out of school
News Flash, just saw in court calendar Bond Financier Cabello, and Raj Chopra are being sentenced Monday April 7th around 9:00am. Ricasa, is being sentenced on Wednesday April 9th at !:30pm. Nothing on Gandara,Sandoval, Cartmill, Lopez and Flores related to the disposition of their cases word has it there will be no trial.— April 3, 2014 11:48 a.m.
Quinones, Ricasa, Cartmill, Cabello weigh pleas vs. fighting
Huh! I noticed that the heading of the article mentions Quinones, Cartmill, Cabello but interesting enough you left Lopez and Sandoval off your list. Why is that? Lopez has 18 felony and misdemeanors counts and had thousands of dollars in meals and gifts. Why are you giving her a pass?— March 21, 2014 4:50 p.m.
Quinones, Ricasa, Cartmill, Cabello weigh pleas vs. fighting
That is the million dollar question. Is Sandoval being protected by Susan Luzzaro because of his connection to her?— March 21, 2014 4:21 p.m.
Quinones, Ricasa, Cartmill, Cabello weigh pleas vs. fighting
What about Sandoval? In the Grand Jury transcripts he was the most corrupt of them all. Thousands of dollars of meals and gifts, complaining of the location of sporting tickets involvement with double dealing as a Board memeber at Sweetwater his sexual harrassement at Southwestern College his involvement with running Norma Hernandez campaign in 2010 solicting campaign contributions from contractors. Let's hope Judge Espana has read this evidence. All of these people should move on to the good of the community we live in.— March 21, 2014 3:16 p.m.
Rankled by Sweetwater district meeting cancellation
So the bashing continues I find it odd that no comment has been made regarding Quiones pleading guilty and now there are only 3 members left. One with 6 counts Carmill, Lopez with 18. I wonder when they will plead, to me having no Board to transact business is far worse than Brands evaluation at this time.— March 21, 2014 7:15 a.m.
