Overrated Movies
What coincidences bothered you in Mystic River? I liked it. It won a few Oscars, although that tells you nothing. Clint Eastwoods other movie Million Dollar Baby got nominations, and it had a million problems (although I loved Swanks performance in it). Eastwood can be an amazing director (Unforgiven, and that movie with Kevin Costner, Play Misty For Me, etc etc). But, it surprises me, some of the decisions he makes.— November 26, 2007 2:14 p.m.
Writers Get No Love (even in death)
I hate weird spelling like this. It's spellings like this that make you feel stupid when you ask for movie tickets, and you say the title of the movie wrong because it's spelled funky. I could just see some kid in 1968 going into a record store and asking for the album (or 8 track) by the groovy band "Cycle" and the clerk has no clue as to what he's talking about!— November 26, 2007 1:53 a.m.
Trying to Watch TV
Sounds like the wife just had a ploy set in motion for ordering a new TV off of Home Shopping Network. Very suspicious, if ya ask me.— November 26, 2007 1:51 a.m.
Dumb Deaths
Being "righteous" is done by people in both parties. That's great that you become "more open minded." But...you have to learn when to acknowledge when a president hasn't done a good job. Just as I loved Michael Moore when he came out with Roger & Me, and he had his show TV Nation. Then, I started seeing how he played fast and loose with things. And, now, I hate the guy. And I sound "righteous" when people talk about all the "good" he does. All he does, that is good, is makes himself richer.— November 25, 2007 10:17 p.m.
Conspiracy Theory
The book was also mentioned a lot on the PBS special on the case. And, you will have no doubts, it was a lone gunman, after that. Trust me. And, it's a great read.— November 25, 2007 5:29 p.m.
Conspiracy Theory
Read the book "Case Closed". A best seller, and written by a credable author with no agenda. Also, in all this time, with all these investagations, time and time again, all they have continued to find over and over, was that it was a lone gunman. That's why there's no ANOTHER book coming out, by (what's his name? Italian guy that also was involved in the OJ case) Bagosi????— November 25, 2007 1:58 a.m.
My Worst Celebrity Interviews Ever
Loved hearing you tell me these stories Jay, and loved reading about them. Great stuff.— November 23, 2007 11:41 p.m.
Dumb Deaths
Well, whatever Zoso. You seem to avoid wanting to answer the question. You, obviously being someone that is a Bush supporter, can't just admit he hasn't done a good job. Or, you simply can't say "yeah, he's made a lot of mistakes." Yet, you don't mind getting upset when someone says that Iraq leads to "dumb deaths." If you want to wait to reserve judgement on Bush, until 25 years from now, or whatever BS answer that is, fine. Then I'd suggest you don't comment on ANYTHING the president does at all.— November 23, 2007 5:32 p.m.
Dumb Deaths
No. Not "easy does it". Do you think it "remains to be seen" as to whether or not Bush has done a good job? I'm curious. Because, I certainly don't think he's done a good job.— November 23, 2007 12:36 a.m.
Fake Friends
Well, to play devils adovacate zoso, I think redsox point was....if an adult says to a get on the sidewalk "stop riding your skateboard on my driveway, you losers! Go do your homework, and maybe then, you won't be failing your math class!" And that kid goes and kills himself because he's so distraught over that comment, that doesn't then make that adult liable, legally, just because it's...as you say...a child-adult, confrontation. Although, in the computer situation, I think that's different. You are gaining the trust, and confidence, of a child, with a devious intention. That's completely wrong.— November 23, 2007 12:34 a.m.
